There are cities and places that are not being run by certain promotions an I wanted to start a thread where people can ask if anybody has a problem with them running those towns.

 

I have a dilemma for my September schedule. I have a long drive from the Maritimes to Windsor, Ontario (20 hours) and would love to stop along the way and have a show somewhere, the problem is Parv and maybe somebody else being annoyed by this.

 

First:

9/13 Berwick Arena in Berwick, Nova Scotia

9/17 either Niagra Falls or Windsor

That's a three day stretch to do a 20 hour drive (17 for Niagra Falls), not soooo horrible. It's the worst my territory has to offer. However, if I could take one of those three days to run a show that would be awesome.

During that drive I cross through New Hapshire, Maine, Boston, Albany, Syracuse, Rochester...

The other thing is... when I run Windsor, I am like 30 minutes from Detroit, Michigan and it would be mighty nice to run a show there.

Can I run any of these places?

If someone has a problem with it, they should speak up. If not, run them.

As a way of cementing the good working relationship between WWF and MLW, I can offer this:

 

- You can run shows in those towns with joint WWF-MLW branding.

- Send dates to me in advance. If date is set to clash with one of my shows such as 9/13, which is a Tuesday, I can work out who to send in advance for a double shot. Expect to see SD Jones in a town near you!

- Jack Tunney would essentially be running the area under secondment from Vince McMahon, as long as co-branding is kept in place.

I was considering running Houston since it was open but the fans in Houston were used to loaded cards which is not something I can give them. So I really have no problems with it.

Perhaps Matt D puts together Houston shows bi-weekly or monthly? Could be Mid South main evented with people sent from different promotions.

Houston was Mid-South at this point with added attractions.

Just imagine the people of Boston, Detroit & Buffalo getting to see a stacked card of Greg Valentine, Rick Martel, Ivan Koloff, Wahoo McDaniel, Jesse Ventura, Rocky Johnson, Killer Khan, Tully Blanchard, David Von Erich, Jim Duggan, Mr. Saito, The Fabulous Ones, Eddie Gilbert....they might forget all about the WWF.

I think Joe Blanchard should be blacklisted for trying to provoke a war.

Blacklisted from what exactly? The NWA he is not a part of?

The NWA has a proud history of icing out promotions who try to step on their turf.

I'm not sure why anyone would rush to the WWF's aid seeing as they are the one already burning bridges while Southwest has been very gracious in all requests for it's talents. We also don't put a bunch of silly restrictions on how to use our talent outside of the Southwest area seeing as it won't get back to the fans in Texas anyway.

I can think of one or two reasons.

I'll work with both, but am not going to start a war.

This is likely for the best. Joe Blanchard's eyes were bugging out of his head when he was looking at the costs of airfare to fly half the roster to the Northeast.

Joe Blanchard should wind his neck in and keep his beak out of affairs that do not concern him whatsoever.
