July 30, 201510 yr comment_5688800 I remember Undertaker during his biker days using a dragon sleeper. The With Authority game called it the Takin Care of Business sleeper. Possibly the dumbest name of all time.

Possibly the dumbest name of all time. That's what they called it on TV. He used it to put Big Show out at No Way Out 2003 IIRC.

Possibly the dumbest name of all time. Even worse, they called it the "Taker" Care of Business on commentary. Was gonna list that but thought that was a known one
July 30, 201510 yr comment_5688825 I believe DiBiase used a figure-four as a young face and the transitioned over to using the fist drop in mid south (loaded glove).
July 30, 201510 yr comment_5688827 Kawada was using the rabbit lariat in the early 90s. Did he only do it to Taue?
July 30, 201510 yr comment_5688828 I believe DiBiase used a figure-four as a young face and the transitioned over to using the fist drop in mid south (loaded glove). Yeah, there's an episode during the end of 81 or beginning of 82 where Roop was going on about how he taught Orndorff to counter the move and then Orndorff rolled the move over and Dibiase was holding on to not submit during the credits.
July 30, 201510 yr comment_5688933 Kane briefly using a falling powerbomb. Angle using the chicken wing briefly during the Backlund mentor period. Eddie's leglock was called the Lasso from El Paso. The Brock Lock mixed between an awesome looking move at best to a clunky pile of shit at worst. Pillman using the Octagon Special as a babyface shortly before the Horsemen run.
July 30, 201510 yr comment_5688942 Edge's Edgercator leg lock (I think). Show also had that Cobra Clutch backbreaker.
July 30, 201510 yr comment_5688944 Jeff Hardy's "spineline" in TNA around the end of the one hour Wednesday shows and debuting Impact on FSN.
July 31, 201510 yr comment_5689140 Wasn't the Brock Lock just a Stretch Muffler? Maybe I'm remembering wrong. Either way, yeah. The move can look painful, but it can just as easily look lazy as shit. Always dug the way Big Show would use the Cobra Clutch back breaker though, especially during that ECW run. He'd slap on the submission for a second, break guys over his knee, and then just rag-doll them across the ring like so many bags of trash. Very Titus O'Neil like. I realize some people will scoff at that comparison, but it is what it is.

It was indeed, although they used the same name (Brock Lock) when he was using the bearhug as a big move after he killed Hogan with it. Scott Steiner using a flatliner in WWE. Test using the Roll The Dice as "The Test Drive" didn't last too long.
July 31, 201510 yr comment_5689205 Wasn't HHH trying to use a sleeper for awhile towards the end of 2002?
July 31, 201510 yr comment_5689266 Wasn't HHH trying to use a sleeper for awhile towards the end of 2002? Yep, won two matches on RAW with it over Jeff Hardy and Spike Dudley
July 31, 201510 yr comment_5689268 He moved to the flying clothesline in 93 after Tatanka started using the Samoan drop and won fairly often with it.
July 31, 201510 yr comment_5689286 Yeah. Even his finishers were boring. Funny that is son ended up a complete bore too, despite a cool gimmick. (I like Rotunda before the IRS gimmick)
July 31, 201510 yr comment_5689334 - The Rock used the Shoulder Breaker for a while (that was awful). - Jeff Jarrett did a Tornado Armbreaker type move briefly. - Kane had that weird Clawhold for a while. - Miz did a weird Reverse DDT move, it had a pretty awful name IIRC. - Batista did the Rings Of Saturn for a while. - Syxx used the Crossface Chickenwing in WCW briefly. - Scott Steiner's version of the Flatliner - which looked awkward as hell. - AJ Styles briefly used the Minoru Special. - Bam Bam Bigelow used the Powerbomb during his feud with Shane Douglas in ECW.
August 1, 201510 yr comment_5689356 - Miz did a weird Reverse DDT move, it had a pretty awful name IIRC. It was the Mizard of Oz. It's great in an ironic way. It fits the gimmick of a douche trying to be clever and failing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ocj6ndkd66M He also used the Reality Check. A knee lift transitioned immediately in a neckbreaker. I'm not a fan of "combo" moves like Jay Lethal's weird backbreaker/Flatliner move, but what made this one especially bad was instead of being one fluid motion, Miz would awkwardly pause for half a second to blindly grab his opponent's head. Daniel Bryan used a guillotine choke a few times in WWE. I know he beat Drew McIntyre with it, at least. Also, not a finisher, but I wish Orton would use this move more often.
August 1, 201510 yr comment_5689360 Steiner's Flatliner didn't look like it would hurt a fly. Odd, because everything else he did looked like it hurt. A lot.
