September 24, 201510 yr comment_5700461 Well, WWF was not available earlier, so maybe one of them would be more interested in that one. Unless someone active wants to move over to it.
September 25, 201510 yr comment_5700471 I don't want to see Parv go. I think he did an amazing job with the WWWF. The way he managed his talent was very, very interesting to watch given the results. And his shows were always entertaining as a result of his own writing as well as the workers he had. But he had a very keen business sense going into his decision making that I should probably take a lesson from. Thinking about it, if Low Blow clearly doesn't want to take over the WWWF for Parv I think maybe it should go. It would add to the fantasy booking element for it to be gone. Yes, I gain, but it's not often that you get a big windfall and throwing them away isn't exactly smart. Sometimes you have to take the opportunities that come your way and make them work for you. I think that the ideas I have already proposed that I would do with the territory are beneficial on both sides. Low Blow would get his means to build Mid South up faster. The majority of a huge roster would become available for a big draft after the five or six guys I picked off the top were gone. Just something to think about.

You should take over the WWF, leaving Montreal to be run by the very capable Jack Tunney! Think of Ivan Koloff & Greg Valentine main eventing against the Rougeaus in Montreal!
September 25, 201510 yr comment_5700474 Again, it is a question of luck with that draft, which is our procedure. If I could trade DiBiase and Fantastics for Backlund and Brisco brothers I'd swap to wwf. I'd uphold deals and modify the parvs way of thinking. That leaves mid south with quite a bit still including JYD and othera especially coming off a huge Superdome show and freelancers booked through the end of the year.
September 25, 201510 yr comment_5700475 LOL, I couldn't even begin to do the WWF justice. I'm not demanding that this scenario happen, just testing the waters. Like I said, it's not every day you have something big drop in your lap. If I don't ask I'll regret it later.

Like I said, it's not every day you have something big drop in your lap. If I don't ask I'll regret it later. There is a big area there with Pennsylvania and New York, who would run it? Somebody has to run in New York.
September 25, 201510 yr comment_5700478 Geographically that would be you and JCP if I'm not way off. I don't think the New Yorkers would care for all the French. Low Blow came up with a workable solution to the problem. Not sure Backlund works in the south though.
September 25, 201510 yr comment_5700481 I'd add more but honestly there isn't a lot up there to give. I'd be losing too much giving up steamboat for ted. Essentially steamboat is jyd. Backlund is ted.

September 25, 201510 yr comment_5700484 Backlund is the top babyface. Jyd is the top babyface. What else would be there. This was a fantasy draft. We don't need to jump realistic and fantasy lines on each decision.
September 25, 201510 yr comment_5700485 And regarding dibiase, I'd have a story put together without question and it would be big.
September 25, 201510 yr comment_5700486 And not to mention Japanese dates that take people away for extended times. Not to mention Briscos for Fantastics would be two greens for two certified pros and a former nwa champ.
September 25, 201510 yr comment_5700487 As far as that LLT match goes there are certainly ways around it. masks that don't conceal the identity from the fans at all piss the fans off mightily. And for the Backlund/Steamboat/Ted thing, maybe you forego Ted and trade Backlund off for somebody more suitable to you before the deal goes down? Just arrange with whoever will give you what you deem worthwhile as the face of your promotion to make the trade and then trade the Fantastics for the Briscoes. Or better yet, send Backlund somewhere, they send Mid South a suitable guy and you get Ted. There are ways around a lot of things if you look for them.
September 25, 201510 yr comment_5700488 I don't want more hoops guys. Just offering an option. You honestly need to look at the wwf roster without all the deals and see how low it is. Savage is gone after this week. Dory is gone. I lose the Brisco in the trade. It is a company reliant on trades which I haven't been overly huge on. One question to be would be a trade in place with grimmas. Would that guy come to mid south or wwf. Is it a trade to the promotin or booker?
September 25, 201510 yr comment_5700491 Should go without saying that I'm still in since aside from this week's TV which will go up tomorrow I'm caught up
September 25, 201510 yr comment_5700492 Didn't doubt you jhawk, just wanted the confirmation. Keep doing work.
September 25, 201510 yr comment_5700496 I hope it is understood that I am not trying to hold this decision hostage. We all want a suitable WWF and I am offering to do it, more than suitable in my opinion. I just think that there's something to be said about leaving a territory and trading talent to come in. Hell I don't even get one of the guys for the first month so I have to play catch up. Not to mention I lose two of the top feuds in the promotion from the trade. This is honestly just an option, if those of you in power are good, I will run the WWF and keep to myself and try to help everyone out with deals with Andre, Steamboat, and Ted. All three would be available for bookings, especially with the WWF template of how the shows are currently ran.
September 25, 201510 yr comment_5700507 I had worked out WWF loan bookings till December 31st. Here were the arrangements: Loan arrangements: Sgt. Slaughter - 7 dates [set for a run] Greg Valentine - 7 dates [set for a run] Larry Zbyszko - 7 dates [done] Tully Blanchard - 7 dates [nixed] Randy Savage - 7 dates [almost done] Roddy Piper - 7 dates [set for a run] Ted DiBiase - 5 dates [done] Dick Murdoch - 4 dates [done] Ric Flair - 1 date [scheduled 12/27/83] Steve Regal - 3 months (starting Jul 5th) Nick Bockwinkel - ongoing Don Muraco - 1 date [done] Dory Funk Jr - 10 dates [mid way through run] Vince McMahon Sr Developmental Scheme: Bret Hart - 3 months of TV tapings (starting Jul 5th) El Gran Hamada - 3 months of TV tapings (starting Jul 5th) Bobby Eaton - 3 months of TV tapings (starting Jul 5th) Tommy Rogers - 3 months of TV tapings (starting Jul 5th) Dr. Death Steve Williams - 3 months of TV tapings (starting Jul 5th) Renewals for these guys due in October. Since almost all of the deals in question have had promotions using dates on Andre already, I think they should be honoured regardless of who takes over. If WWF lost the runs of Valentine, Piper and Slaughter through the fall and into winter, the booking doesn't have many places it can go. It's been planned that way.
September 25, 201510 yr comment_5700508 Also, correction to what I said, Vince Sr didn't die until May 1984, but for all intents and purposes VKM was running the company by 1983 anyway.
September 25, 201510 yr comment_5700515 No Low Blow, if you take over WWF there should be no swapping of talent. You can make deals for the guys with Mid Souths new Booker by all means but if you move you take up the roster. This thread all about you picking up talent from promotion that were inactive. It's ridiculous that Jhawk, who is up to date had to say "in". I haven't in any post said I'm "in"? I'm sorry but I think you only set this thread up so you could gain, it wasn't set up to see who was still in or not and move the project forward. Dont get me wrong the people that were behind needed to be addressed and 3 promotion have dropped out, we have two new writers wanting to come in, we need to sort a solution for them, then will need to give the person in line to take over the other promotion the choice to pick up its towns and wrestlers. And then if no resolution has come for that final promotion, then we can look at other avenues. But sorry not until then. You see your promotion as Regional, it's a territory based game that is 3 months old, just be patient and you will organically grow...
September 25, 201510 yr comment_5700517 No problem. I just wanted to put it out there. And be sure to edit yourself... I didn't set this thread up. I apologize for being an instigator in the matter though.

September 25, 201510 yr comment_5700524 Outside of Houston, New Orleans, and Oklahoma City, I could care less about towns. Tulsa is sad
