The match was ok. It was just give and take brawling. Nothing to write home about. No blood was spilled in the match itself. Now the postmatch is off the charts. Duggan starts having Volkoff read off the Pledge Of Allegiance. Then Darsow and Reed enter the cage and all 3 Russians destroy Duggan. The crowd is molten hot here. They start to put shaving cream on Duggan and it's mixed in with his blood to a disgusting sight. The babyfaces come out and save Duggan and his hair. Amazing angle. 2 1/4* match though.

Watch this for the post match angle more so than the match. Duggan and Volkoff mostly throw haymakers at each other in a short little brawl. After the match Volkoff is forced to read the Pledge of Allegiance which the promoters were nice enough to provide on paper for him to read. Duggan ends up strong arming Volkoff and feeds him every line of the pledge. 1984 America was a patriotic America. There were flags all throughout the audience and they ate this stuff up but their ecstatic joy turned to absolute hatred when the heels bloodied Duggan and attempted to shave his head. There aren't many angles I have seen hotter than this one, the crowd was literally off the charts for throughout the whole thing.
