June 13, 20178 yr Author comment_5803690 On the 7/4/16 and 8/9/16 lists, you also have it as 12/12/80 which is a conflict for Lewin vs Bull Ramos That was the original date that was given on the site. Now I think we have the right date.
June 26, 20178 yr comment_5805058 Looks like we got 2 matches today from the first night of the Gold Cup Tournament 10/30- 11/1/81 Dick Slater vs Evan Johnson and Tom Prichard vs Don Serrano. Maybe this means we will be getting one or two Bockwinkel vs Wahoo matches? And maybe Bockwinkel vs Santana?
June 26, 20178 yr comment_5805060 There are a bunch of cool match ups from the first two nights. I've never seen a full card for the third. I'm not convinced he filmed on night 3, to be honest. Part of the pull was that this, unlike most things in Houston, wouldn't be on TV. On the other hand, could he really not have filmed so important a night for his career as a promoter just for his own sake?
September 24, 20177 yr comment_5814835 It's true. The site is done. NATIONAL WRESTLING ALLIANCE OWNERSHIP UPDATES By Mike Johnson on 2017-09-24 15:53:00 The National Wrestling Alliance era under Billy Corgan's ownership will officially kick off on 10/1. All of the member promotions who had licenses to use the NWA initials and branding under the company's Bruce Tharpe ownership will end the day before. Going forward as of 10/1, the NWA will be whatever it is deemed to be under Corgan and Dave Lagana's leadership. As part of that transition, the NWA On Demand streaming service will be shutting down. This a by-product of Corgan's purchasing Tharpe's interest in the Paul Boesch Houston territory library. The ownership of the library still remains with the Boesch family but Corgan will have the ability to control the library going forward.
September 24, 20177 yr comment_5814839 It sucks that he had control of it the last couple of months and stopped updating
September 24, 20177 yr comment_5814855 Could just be as simple as he'd uploaded everything he'd already had converted
September 25, 20177 yr comment_5814987 Is anybody saving all these matches? Would be a real shame to lose all this.
September 25, 20177 yr comment_5814989 Yes, but it's just stuff that caught my eye or looked good from reviews here, not comprehensive or thematic in any way. I'm not subscribed right now, though.
September 25, 20177 yr comment_5815012 Hopefully someone can grab the Bockwinkel matches before they disappear.
September 25, 20177 yr comment_5815056 Gentlemen, may I direct you to the Village Green Preservation Society? I would strongly suggest participating in the 1979-1989 project.
September 27, 20177 yr comment_5815280 Yes. http://www.nwaondemand.com/tv/Hidden-Gems/video/f47f191a3be658fd4453e013c697fbaf
October 1, 20177 yr comment_5815602 The site is still up for me (12pm EST) All I see is Tharpe's email, but no matches. It's done...... for now.
October 6, 20177 yr comment_5816000 The site is still up, the free matches are still playable, and there's still a signup process for the other matches. I really hope this stuff can remain available in some form.
October 6, 20177 yr comment_5816063 Umm....ask for access to the Village Green section if you don't already have it.....
October 7, 20177 yr comment_5816094 I've long being curious what is in the Village Green section. I just assumed it was by invitation only, and that I didn't have the type of seniority to get invited!
October 8, 20177 yr comment_5816153 Well, a new youtube page for NWA Wrestling just started and in the comments section someone asked about classic NWA matches being uploaded with the current stuff and they replied "This is the channel you'll find content moving forward". Listening to Dave Lagana this week, he has clearly said they don't want anything behind a paywall because they want to build an audience first. He said Corgan would rather have 300,000 fans getting content for free than 4,000 fans behind a paywall and so it wouldn't surprise me if old matches start showing up on youtube. Keep a look out.
October 8, 20177 yr comment_5816156 Considering what you just said, they would have little logical need to post anything that hadn't already been converted and already posted for years if ever. Plus never the real bottom of the card stuff. While we're interested in that, it might damage the "brand."
October 8, 20177 yr comment_5816170 Yeah, I can picture the marquee Harley Race defenses against Andre and Terry Funk being uploaded, along with some of the more famous "Mid South" matches but I'm doubtful we'll get the next unearthed Bockwinkel classic anytime soon. Prove me wrong, Lasagna!

Prove me wrong, Lasagna! And again, that's still a main event match, not an interesting seven minute Nick Kozak vs foreign heel undercard match. But it is not like you can really blame them.
