Kris & David are joined by Kurt Brown (Lucha World) to discuss the week that was October 27-November 2, 1993. We discuss the legendary Arn Anderson vs. Sid Vicious hotel room brawl and the huge aftermath that followed, we also discuss the death of Oro who was on the verge of becoming the next big star in Lucha Libre, and we also discuss the storm that is brewing involving the WWF and their links to steroids!!!!

Sid did appear in that ill-fated tag match on WCWSN--the attack by the Kongs turned out to be their way of writing him out. The finish was simply the old Crockett "We're out of time!" trick to cover for Sid's run-in. Schiavone said they'd show what happened on Main Event but I don't know how or if they got around that.

Just listening to this now and when running down the Funk show on 10/28 you said that Ted Dibiase's match against Tito Santana was his last American match. He actually wrestled two days late on the Bensalem Bash (Sabu/Candido cage main event) card against Terry Funk (which was his last match).

*edit* You're now talking about Bensalem Bash, and Bix has corrected what was said earlier.

I'm up to the SMW section. I'm not aware that the SMW TV subscription service ever actually happened to the point that this may be the first I've heard of it since that time. I know for sure that you could order individual TVs thru their merch "catalog" and that Brian Hildebrand made a big effort to update that section in particular after taking over from O'Connor.

There was enormous demand on the trading market for SMW TV. After I moved out of an area that got the TV and started getting it from Tim Whitehead, I know that he supplied a half dozen or more people with it. Of those, certainly myself, John McAdam & Lynch further supplied more.

Yeah, I'm not sure about the subscription service ever happening either, but it always seemed like the awareness of SMW selling the TV blocks was nowhere close to what it should have been. Like I mentioned on the show, I think it was during a Fan Week Q&A where Cornette was incredulous that Feinstein had so much demand for the TV when fans could get them direct off the master tapes. And I think the guy who put together the SMW season sets was the only person I've ever known who had any of the direct from SMW TV tapes.

Wasn't the Tatanka suspension deal that he had problems of someone else's doing? He returned at the 1996 Royal Rumble for a couple of months before leaving again, which if he was seriously involved in that incident, I don't think would have happened.
