Horrible WCW runs by WWF mainstays

I had fallen out of wrestling in the mid 90s but started getting back into it around '97. And Ahmed Johnson must have debuted shortly after I stopped watching (mid '95) and was practically off TV when I picked it back up in late '97 (though he was still oddly on like every PPV for a few months even though I never remember seeing him on TV). BUT, he was a total mystery to me because he was in all of WWF's print advertising. This guy I rarely saw was in all the ads for all the WWF promo products. New WWF video game? Austin, Undertaker, and Ahmed Johnson in the ads. Nintendo Power write up on WWF stuff? Ahmed Johnson the only guy featured. Write ups in all the Apter mags about how he's going after the title, just Ahmed Johnson popping up everywhere. And I somehow missed the guy's entire existence. But apparently he was huge or the only guy available to do press ad photos.
