November 30, 20159 yr Author comment_5712520 One of the best territory tropes was a heel talking over arena footage with the announcer. Bonus points for him complaining about the babyface using punches and other "illegal tactics"

Bonus points for him complaining about the babyface using punches and other "illegal tactics" Addendum to this one: the footage shows the heel cheating and/or losing and results in the heel complaining that the footage was doctored.

December 1, 20159 yr comment_5712681 I'm gonna put up $10,000 for whoever can hurt ____ (usually a top babyface).
December 1, 20159 yr Author comment_5712688 Fines and bounties are both good picks, disappointed in myself for not including those in the OP as I've gotten a lot of use out of both in my writing.
December 7, 20159 yr comment_5713821 Cut to currently injured but soon to be returnin' babyface healing up at home. Possibly in an incredible "sports casual" Partridge-esque blazer or more leisurely sports name brand tracksuit:"I'd first of all like to thank each and every one of you fans who wrote to me tellin' me I was in your thoughts and your prayers"...

August 19, 20169 yr comment_5764050 I'm not sure how wide spread it was but "lies about Madison Square Garden" seems like it might fit. God knows they used to LOVE lying about MSG in Portland with them hyping up Stan Stasiak as someone who was in tons of main events there and almost never got defeated. Well, the tons of main events part is right... Just saw a promo from Continental on youtube with Ron Fuller hyping up a tag match with him teaming up with Ric Flair and talking about all the arenas all over the world they had teamed in and throwing in Madison Square Garden when I'm 99% sure neither of them had ever worked the Garden in 1985 much less teamed together there. I'm intrigued by the team bullshitting, but oddly enough, they both did work MSG early in their careers. Vince Sr. brought in guys from all over the place in the WWWF days, especially young guys for one-shots. Flair's one and only MSG match before his WWF run is on his first DVD set. It's from just after the plane crash comeback. (This is obviously me regurgitating from Cawthon's exhaustive MSG history.) I believe that Flair actually wrestled the pride of Columbus, OH, Frankie Williams!
