Posted December 7, 20159 yr comment_5713772 For this week's podcast, we're going to take a light-hearted look at the plotholes, unfinished angles, illogical storyline contradictions, and even angles that were finished that still left you dumbfounded, that were put together under Vince Russo's runs in WWF, WCW and TNA. So the question is, which specific Vinnie Ru plotholes or illogical angles left you scratching your head and pissed you off, and why? As always, the best contributions will be read on the show and you'll be credited accordingly. So which ones from his body of work bothered you the most, bro? EDIT - The show discussing Vince Russo's Unsolved Mysteries and taking your suggestions is now online and available to listen to at the following link: http://squaredcirclegazette.podbean.com/mf/play/nshr5z/SCGRadio65-VinceRussosUnsolvedMysteries.mp3
December 7, 20159 yr comment_5713775 I thought the tequila bottle over the head of Jushin "Thunder" Liger was one of the worst in-ring angles I've seen in 30 years of watching wrestling. Tori Wilson in a fat suit was appalling as well.
December 7, 20159 yr comment_5713776 Was "who raised the briefcase" a Russo angle? I never forgot that
December 7, 20159 yr comment_5713787 There was that gimmick where La Parka had a voiceover cutting his promos for him, which would start insulting his opponents and lead to Parka begging on the floor for (as example) Meng not to kill him, whilst the voiceover would keep insulting Meng's hair. It seemed like it might lead somewhere, or they might explain why Parka was using this obvious arsehole to talk for him, but they never did.
December 7, 20159 yr comment_5713794 Was "who raised the briefcase" a Russo angle? I never forgot thatIt was, but it was also sorta resolved. Bossman was starting to be on the outs with Vince at the time, and then was welcomed back with open arms the next night with Vince saying something if the affect of "he did the right thing." This and Mae Young's handbaby are typically used to slight Russo when they either had conclusions or weren't his. As for something actually Russo's fault, the dissolution of SEX went absolutely nowhere. Russo disappeared, Disco took the reins, and then Russo returned without closure to become the manager AJ Styles never needed.
December 7, 20159 yr comment_5713818 Mae Young literally giving birth to a human hand when she was expecting Mark Henry's baby... was that post Russo?
December 7, 20159 yr comment_5713819 Who moved the briefcase during that one Austin match? Was that ever resolved? (Can't remember the match, sorry, but I want to say that it involved Boss Man. Could be wildly off though.)

December 7, 20159 yr comment_5713839 The closest we came was Arquette shrieking "You don't trust someone from Hollywood" on Nitro the next night

In Russo's world of book that's the best we can ask for I guess
December 7, 20159 yr comment_5713849 I thought it was pretty clear they fired and rehired Bossman from the corporation to circumvent the stips of the ladder match.

December 7, 20159 yr comment_5713853 I thought it was pretty clear they fired and rehired Bossman from the corporation to circumvent the stips of the ladder match. It wasn't spelled out perfectly, definitely more hinted at. Dare I say it was one of the few legitimately great plot points Russo wrote?
December 7, 20159 yr comment_5713855 I don't think "Chaz Warrington: Woman Beater" was ever properly resolved. I just know he disappeared for a while and returned when Thrasher got healthy again.

December 8, 20159 yr comment_5713884 WWE went through this goofy phase a few years ago where all of the sudden they felt the need to resolve 15 year old dangling plot threads. They revealed Hornswoggle was the anonymous GM, they brought back Mae Youngs hand all grown up, I could have sworn they resolved the GTV thing around that time. I know it was originally meant to be Goldust before he left in 1999 but didn't they confirm it one of those old school raws?
December 8, 20159 yr comment_5713923 Mean Gene getting scoops for his 1 900 number actually makes sense.
December 8, 20159 yr comment_5713958 I don't remember GTV being Just Joe or Mean Gene. The actor Tom Green (remember him?) was another rumor, but that never happened. It was originally supposed to be for Goldust, and I can swear I remember it being called GDTV for the first week or two - or am I crazy? I think they did pay this off somehow, but for the life of me, I can't remember who was credited/blamed for being behind GTV. Did Chaz's woman have a G-name? It might've been her.
