This was a request made a long time ago by some people here that I would love to actually implement. Unfortunately, I've been emailing our host contact about this for a year and he's not getting back to me, so I'm thinking of other ways to accomplish a similar outcome. Maybe it just means we have a separate site away from PWO for chat or something along those lines. Any suggestions on how to implement? I'm also open to the idea of not being the one running it.

IRC is a possibility - i wanted to create a #PWO channel somewhere, but unfortunately the internet at my new place keeps disconnecting me from IRC.

the taima streams have also already been serving this function for some people, and that seems to be the simplest option & the one that makes the most sense?

How different are these forums from the forums of old? When I ran forums, it was as simple as downloading the required modules/updates & then updating them to the server via an FTP. Same with Themes and what not. There was even a "store" where you acquired currencies via making topics, replies or whatever & then you could use that currency to buy forum things like 5x5 more on your avatar or something dumb like that.

If you have been trying to get a hold of this person for a year with no luck, I assume you're never going to get a hold of them at all. Which probably means no updates for anything in the future? Maybe I'm misunderstanding but the Admins should have access to all the directories, right?

A shoutbox does sound cool - I know premium users on WrestlingForum.com have access to one. IRC is way dated.
