Titans of Wrestling returns with part 1 of a special epic two-part look at the career of pro wrestling legend "Rowdy"Roddy Piper! Tonight, join Kelly, Johnny and Marty Sleeze as they examine Piper's early years (1973-1983)...

Starting out in the AWA (1973-1974)
His breakthrough as a heel in LA and San Francisco (1976-1979)
Tour of Japan featuring matches against Riki Choshu and Antonio Inoki (1977)
His forgotten stint in the WWF (1979)
Legendary babyface run in Portland (1978-1980)
Major success in the Carolinas (1980-1983)
Groundbreaking work in Georgia (1981-1982)

And look out for part 2 next week looking at Piper's time in the WWF and WCW!

Awesome. Met Piper a few years back at a horror con and told the story of much my Dad hated him when I was a kid and we watched wrestling together which was our one bonding experience. He asked if my dad was going to come to the con and really wanted to see him, being moved by the whole thing. When I explained my dad could barely leave his apartment due to crippling arthritis he almost seemed to want to come and see him to say hi. Piper struck me as a very class act as a person indeed.
