Kris & David are joined by Rob Naylor (WWN Live) to discuss the week that was December 29, 1986 – January 4, 1987. We discuss the chances that Wrestlemania III gets cancelled because of Andre the Giant’s injury, Paul Orndorff’s shoulder issues, AJPW & NJPW gaijin wackiness, Jesse Ventura in Arnold movies, all sorts of territory goodness especially our love of Continental, & Rob’s love of Vladimir Petrov. This is a very fun show!!!!

Add Winnipeg to the Jake/Hogan market list--there's a Jake promo for it out there.

The strongest evidence in favor of the DDT Snake Pit existing (which I know isn't really that up for debate) is that in the Providence promo, Ken Resnick makes mention of Hogan taking powder to the eyes on the Pit and gaining revenge on Jake by doing the same to him in the clip shown. And we know they *did* do localized angles on occasion, though the only others I can think of are Killer Khan misting Hogan on another Snake Pit and Hillbilly Jim taking down Andre with the horseshoe on the interview podium. But those aired in Boston and NYC respectively, which is why those are in wider circulation.

Without spoiling too much, the youtube lifestyle wrestling discussion at the end was the funniest thing you guys have ever done. I had to stop the podcast several times to avoid cracking up at work.

That segment has to make the Best of BtS that Bix wants to put together either this past year or this current year.

When you guys were talking about Hogan cage matches, he did have one with Muraco in the Garden that I'm pretty sure was pre WM2. I think I have it on tape somewhere but it was the classics 3 match Garden formula. It was the chain link type change. I'd have to search through my old recordings to see what the finish was exactly, but it wasn't over the top

I was going to complain about why there wasn't a Youtube playlist of this podcast but after the last hour I might be glad that we didn't get one

It was MSG 21st June '85. Finish was Hogan and Muraco struggling at the door, and Hogan walked out after punching Muraco back into the ring.

Halfway through now. I love that even though Rob and I couldn't look at wrestling more differently a lot of the times, there are things we both love, like the Demolition vs Brainbusters SNME match or the god damn Jam Slam. It's a travesty he couldn't get Mojo Rawley to do it though.

Great episode. Rob's super funny. I just wished his connection was a bit better, as he faded out a bit at times and it was hard to here him.

As a 12-yr old mark kid, I thought Funk was going to beat Hogan on that SNME. I thought he had him after the piledriver. As a former NWA champ, Funk made sense in getting the belt, but alas it was not to be.
