Posted January 11, 20169 yr comment_5720083 Kris & David are joined by Tom Green (Full House Podcast) to discuss the week that was January 5-11, 1994. We discuss various wrestlers in bar brawls, John Nord’s career trajectory, Antonio Pena’s Japanese business tour, ECW crossing the line, Jerry Lawler’s legal problems, and why did the Hart Brothers vs. Steiner Brothers take place in Florence, South Carolina. This is a wild and wooly show and a must listen!!! January 11, 20169 yr comment_5720104 Great episode so nice hearing Tom talking about wrestling again. For my money vs Robinson in 76 is one of Baba's best matches for sure
January 11, 20169 yr comment_5720130 Misc: 1) No idea about the national origin of the surname "Yandrisovitz" 2) The Wikipedia for Big John Studd added a lot to the cause of death. That page once repeated a Captain Lou Albano shoot interview claim that Studd had ALS.

January 12, 20169 yr comment_5720230 I told Kris and Bix this seedy tale from back in the day. We'd go to the Louisville Gardens each week and during the intermissions, would hang around the heel dressing room (they'd mingle by the entrance and watch the matches) because we were dumb teen marks. This incident was around 89, but some girl that looked about 14-15, had that trashy hot look about her, was hanging around as well. We saw her talking to DI Bob Carter and it looked like he blew her off. She was walking off and told her friend "that's the first rassler to say no to fuckin me." I was floored, lol
January 13, 20169 yr comment_5720355 A bit off-topic, but since it was brought up in this episode, can I throw some cold water on the Jimmy Valiant/glass coffee table story? I know Ricky Morton retweeted that cartoon, but the exact same urban legend goes around about Danny Thomas. (I don't have a specific link to point to, but just google "Danny Thomas glass coffee table" and pick one of the many, many results.) Unless that particular fetish is a lot more common than I thought, which is even more disturbing, when you think about it.
January 13, 20169 yr comment_5720382 Tom was a really great guest. I knew about Mickie shooting on BB Walls in that Queen of the Death match tournament, but learning that Walls was pregnant when she did that match? Holy fuck!

January 14, 20169 yr comment_5720468 Loved the episode and Tom was great. Keep up the good work fellas.
January 14, 20169 yr comment_5720554 I like how Kris is trying to be professional at the start when the last episode ended with the youtube description readings.
January 14, 20169 yr comment_5720603 I get a weird kick out of Kris and Bix talking about naughty things it's akin to hearing a preach swear
January 15, 20169 yr comment_5720768 This was the only Nord in AJPW from 94 I could find online. (at least I think that's what it is). Some awesome Hansen moments in the match. Nord looked ok. Like the world's best possible Brody. He gave a lot less than in WWF but probably more appropriately. His offense looked good. I wish there was more time of him vs Taue in there.
