Posted January 11, 20169 yr comment_5720143 Ole Anderson vs. Bob Wayne Ole is like a fucking crowbar here killing this guy and this is what a squash match should be. The Barbarian & Paul Jones are out next for a promo where Jones says that Barbarian is in the NWA World TV Title tournament and he would win it easily. "Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff vs. Tony Zane Nikita is like a machine here taking out Zane with the Russian Sickle. America's Team then comes out for a promo talking about Magnum's US Title and Dusty wanting to win back the NWA World TV Title as well as both wanting Flair. The Barbarian vs. Richard Dunn Another week another jobber that gets destroyed by Barbarian. Tully & Baby Doll are out next for a promo where Tully talks about getting some gold back. Baby Doll then pipes up saying that Tully needs to win some gold because her lifestyle depends on it. This was supposed to be the beginning of the Buddy Landell angle. Extra material. Krusher Khruschev vs. Bill Mulkey Krusher doesn't take too long putting Mulkey away with the Russian Sickle. JJ Dillon is out next for a promo saying that no one is talking about what Buddy Landell has done since Starrcade and he wants everyone to talk about him. Tully Blanchard vs. Vernon Deaton Tully basically toys with Deaton before finishing him off with the Slingshot Suplex. Arn is out next for a promo where he talks about the Andersons coming for the RnR Express and the NWA World TV Title tournament which he will be winning. Sam Houston vs. Kent Glover Hey there is a handshake before the match and Glover puts up a good fight here. Houston shows off some nice matwork and even does the MUGA headscissors removal spot which was nice. Houston of course wins with the bulldog headlock. Ric Flair is out next for a promo with the women singing his praises which he loved before talking about Dusty's rematch on Christmas night at The Omni as well as praising Jim Crockett for the Championship Challenge series. Flair gives Schiavone $300 for Christmas and has $200 for Magnum to get clothes and $500 for Dusty get a plane ticket out of town. Extra material. "Ragin Bull" Manny Fernandez & "Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin vs. Black Bart & Thunderfoot This was supposed to be a 6-man match with Ron Bass & Buddy Landell but of course Landell no-showed by sleeping in his hotel room and killed his run for JCP at this time. Bull & Garvin were really fun early in the match here working holds on the mat on the heels and with their added striking power which came at all angles made me want a regular team of them. Thunderfoot would tag in without Garvin knowing and he would catch him offguard with a shot which allowed the heels to get the advantage. Garvin would get some offense in but the heels did a decent job of keeping him grounded until Thunderfoot missed a diving kneedrop off the middle rope. Bull gets the hot tag and he takes it to Thunderfoot before Bart comes in to turn the tide as he uses power moves to work over Manny. The heels then open up an old cut on Manny who is now juicing and he takes some good punishment here but fights back to his credit. Bart went up for the Texas Compactor but missed and then tagged in Thunderfoot who loaded up his boot but he couldn't hit Manny clean with it. Manny then blind tagged in Garvin who came off the top rope with a sunset flip on Thunderfoot to win. Fun match with some different psychology but not enough for a nomination. Jim Crockett comes out next to announce the final match of the Championship Challenge series with Magnum defending his US Heavyweight Title against Ole Anderson next week. Flair then comes out and says that it was a shame that Crockett couldn't find anyone to lose to him in a Championship Challenge series match but Garvin is standing there and Flair wants him gone. Garvin then gets Flair angry enough to agree to a match for next week. I love this..and a definite extra. The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & RIcky Morton) vs. Larry Clark & Randy Mulkey RnR take their time putting away these guys. Magnum TA vs. George South The Boss put South away in less than 30 seconds. Arn Anderson vs. Josh Stroud Arn said before the match watch a wrestler take out a musclehead and he lives up to his words as he systematically takes out Stroud. Dusty then comes out for a promo where he is soft spoken and serious talking about taking all the titles from Flair and the Andersons. "Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff vs. Don Turner Ivan just punishes this poor guy. Flair comes back out to close the show where he said that he would be in thousands of women's stockings on Christmas morning before ripping up Dusty and the camera men for switching cameras too often.
