Posted January 12, 20169 yr comment_5720184 Steve Williams vs The Terminator This was ok. Doesn't sniff a nom though. Windham/JJ interview Sheepherders/Morgan vs Ace/Santana/K. Windham The match told a solid story. It just didn't resonate with me. Arn Anderson vs Lex Luger Coming off the angle you thought it would be more hate filled. Luger working the arm is solid stuff. Nothing fancy, but effective. Arn though is effective in helping Lex work the arm. Arn is tremendous selling the arm. Luger is a surgeon just focusing on the arm. Arn is solid here. I'll go low-end nomination.
April 1, 20178 yr comment_5794279 "Dr. Death" Steve Williams vs. The Terminator (4/28/88) Fairly easy win for Doc. Next we get a promo by JJ Dillon & Barry Windham about Barry becoming a Horsemen and this is extra material. The Sheepherders (Butch Miller & Luke Williams) & Rip Morgan vs. Johnny Ace, Ricky Santana, & Kendall Windham (4/28/88) This has been built over the last two weeks with Ace leaving the Sheeps and the action was okay but it was all about the story of Ace against the Sheeps. "Total Package" Lex Luger vs. "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson (4/28/88) Luger works over Arn's left arm early on and I agree for such a hate filled feud this sure is being worked like a normal match with not a lot of hatred. Dillon would get involved allowing Arn to get the advantage and he just drops Lex with the DDT. Arn was effective on offense using dirty tactics to keep Luger grounded and Luger did fine selling everything. Arn would hit a 2nd DDT basically to stop Luger from trying to fight back but it didn't stop him and as Luger was about to come back he jumps Barry Windham on the floor for a brawl. Tommy Young calls for the bell as Luger is beaten down until Sting & Doc run out to make the save. I think the match was good for what it was but with the finish I'm going to pass on this as a nomination.
