Tony starts the show announcing that Tully Blanchard won the US Heavyweight Title from Magnum then talked about Magnum being jumped by the Andersons.

Jim Cornette comes out and talks about the deal with the MX & Sawyers last week saying that Buzz just happened to fall on his racquet and how there is nothing in the case but a racquet. Cornette is fun here explaining why he has the racquet.

"Nature Boy" Buddy Landell vs. Pat Tanaka (7/27/85)

This sounds like a fucking dream match if 1987 Pat Tanaka was here but Tanaka is still a young rookie showing some promise. Budro is cocky early until Tanaka kicks him right in the face and starts hitting him with some offense before Budro caught him with a Hot Shot. Tanaka tries to fight back but Budro is too tough and finishes him off with two corkscrew elbow drops to win. Fun little TV match.

The Koloffs are out next talking about how they are getting the tag titles back and that Nikita would be taking out Flair soon to win the NWA Title. They talk over clips from the Bash show in Charlotte where the Koloffs destroyed Flair after the match.

Tully is out next with this newly won US Heavyweight Title talking about how he was the man to beat the unstoppable Magnum.

Buzz & Brett Sawyer vs. Randy Barber & Vernon Deaton (7/27/85)

Buzz is wearing tape on his back to sell the injury from the racquet and the Sawyers take out their anger on the jobbers here.

Next we get the video of Magnum being jumped by the Andersons at the locker room at The Omni and the aftermath later at The Omni with Dusty and this is a slam dunk extra naturally.

"Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff vs. Black Cat (Gerald Finley) (7/27/85)

This is a total squash.

Ric Flair comes out next for the first time in a few weeks on TV and Flair is pissed off about the video the Koloffs showed earlier and he rips some clothes off while ranting and raving. This is good stuff and extra material.

The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) vs. Sam Houston & Joe Lightfoot (7/27/85)

Cornette telling Tony that he had a phonecall in the back from Rock Hudson was AMAZING because that was the week he announced he had AIDS.....Eaton jumped from the top rope to the floor for the first time on Houston and Tony marked out on commentary. Houston & Lightfoot give the MX a good battle but the MX were just amazing at this point.

Tully is back out next for a promo and he laughs at America's Team saying that he was impressed at how they handled the Andersons

Terry Taylor vs. Larry Clarke (7/27/85)

Another quick solid TV win for Terry.

The Sawyers are out next for a promo about their issues with the MX and Buzz is pumped up...strong promo from Buzz.

NWA World TV Title: "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes © vs. Arn Anderson (7/27/85)

This might have been their first singles match ever. Baby Doll is at ringside in Dusty's corner with Dusty teeing off on Arn early telling her to shut up. Dusty starts working over Arn's leg early and often trying to setup for his figure-four leglock. Arn though to his credit would stop Dusty in his tracks and he would go to work on Dusty's left arm the Anderson way. Dusty would come back though and fought through it even hitting a dropkick to put Arn down. Arn is tough and he comes back again working over that arm with Dusty inside and outside the ring. Dusty would break out some headbutts and chops to regain control before a double collision which gave Dusty a chance to get up before Arn and he would hit a big football tackle on Arn but knocked referee Mike Fever out as well. Ole would run in and he beat Dusty down before rolling Fever back in the ring but Dusty would kick out and in the process threw Arn on Fever then threw him into him again sending Fever back to the floor. Dusty now climbs up top hitting a bionic elbow off the top and Magnum runs in the ring and makes the count himself. Ole then hits a running knee on Magnum from behind which looked fierce. Magnum came back though and America's Team would clean house. Shitty finish but this was a damn fun match and a low-end nomination.

America's Team then cuts a promo afterwards with Magnum being red hot about losing his title plus the Andersons jumping him. Dusty then rips on "Hollywood Wrestling" calling them all jerks and this is great.

Abdullah the Butcher vs. George South (7/27/85)

Abby destroys South.

Dick Slater is out next for a promo saying that Sullivan will never put him out of wrestling.

Kevin Sullivan then follows with a promo saying that Slater doesn't have the power to come back from the beating that he will be giving him.

"Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant & Pistol Pez Whatley vs. Jim Jeffers & Donald Ross (7/27/85)

Donald Ross wears a full red bodysuit which is hilarious and they get killed by the faces.

Flair is back out saying that he can't let Nikita get him down and not talk about how great he is. Flair talks about going to Hawaii next week and he tells Magnum PI needs to leave town. Jim Crockett then comes out and Flair puts him over before he talks about bringing in Wahoo & Billy Jack Haynes to face Jack Hart & Rick Rude next week.

Bob Roop vs. Rocky King (7/27/85)

Whatley does commentary talking about being the mentor or Rocky. King frustrates Roop who starts roughhousing him before putting him away with the shoulderbreaker. Whatley gets in Roop's face after the match before Kevin Sullivan shows up with his hands out and Roop looks like a robot leaving the ring.

The Koloffs are back out for a promo talking about Flair being angry earlier saying that Flair has been partying too much and isn't taking them seriously.

The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. Terry Flynn & Mike Nichols (7/27/85)

RnR have no problems here and they cut a promo afterwards talkng about defending their titles against any team around.

Tully Blanchard vs. Mac Jeffers (7/27/85)

Tully is wearing blue tights here which he didn't wear much in JCP....he has no issues with Jeffers here.
