Posted January 16, 20169 yr comment_5721011 Ron Bass vs Black Bart Big brawl to start. Bass with great punches that Bart bumps big for. Bass goes for the claw early. Bart posts himself into the corner and Bass really works over the arm. Bass has gotten a pretty good shine here. Bart momentarily stuns Bass, but Bass catches him with a cross body. Then is back on the arm. Bass drops the leg on the arm. Then transitions into a Figure 4 on the arm. Bart is selling the pain really well. Bart gets a punch in and gets seperation. Bart is selling the arm throughout. JJ scratched Bass's back and Bart is working it over. He whips Bass back 1st into the corner. For story telling this match is on point. It might lack pop, but is very sound psychology. Low-End Nomination. WCW 8/31/85
November 5, 20169 yr comment_5774448 National Heavyweight Title: Black Bart © vs. Cowboy Ron Bass (8/25/85)Spirited match early on between the former partners which displayed the hatred both men had for each other and Bass had for Dillon as he yelled at him from the ring. Bass really worked over Bart's left arm here with Bart doing a good job of selling the pain. Bart would come firing back sending Bass to the floor where he worked over his back and got some help from Dillon. Bart thought he had Bass for dead and went for the Trash Compactor but he missed and Bass made a comeback picking up Bart to slam him but Dillon put Bart's foot on the bottom rope which wasn't seen by referee Mike Fever until after he made the count. Bart would then backdrop Bass over the top rope for a DQ then Bass chased Dillon in the ring before he left. Screwy finish but this was a really fun hard hitting match based around bodypart work. I'll pass this on as a low-end nomination.
