Koloff's interview

Buddy Landel vs Garner

JC promo

Midnight Express vs Rossi/Busick

Nikita Koloff vs Nichols

Magnum TA promo

Tully Blanchard vs Jim Jeffers

Flair promo-EXTRA

Ron Bass vs Glover

Andersons vs Taylor/Sawyer

I'd give this a solid nomination. I really liked the struggle of holds both teams exhibited especially the Anderson's and Sawyer. The finish was typical crap. The body of the match and the arm work exhibited by both teams was really good. Man Sawyer really commits to his gimmick.

Jim Crockett

Dusty promo

Denny Brown vs George South

Good studio bout

Valiant promo

Valiant vs Deaton

Tully Blanchard promo

6 man tag

JJ and Bart interview

The Koloffs start the show talking about how America is supposed to be a free country but Flair can run everywhere he wants. Ivan also talks about coming back for the NWA World Tag Titles.

"Nature Boy" Buddy Landell vs. Paul Garner (9/1/85)

Landell is obsessed with Flair talking all match about being the real Nature Boy before finishing Garner off with the Figure-Four.

Cornette comes out next for a fun promo about the fans wanting money and women wanting love from the MX.

The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) vs. Nick Busick & Ron Rossi (9/1/85)

Just a total squash here.

"Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff vs. Mike Nichols (9/1/85)

Nikita kills this guy.

Magnum comes out next and talks about wanting revenge on Tully Blanchard plus getting his US Title back.

Tully Blanchard vs. Jim Jeffers (9/1/85)

Magnum does commentary and it distracts Tully a little bit as he throws Jeffers to the floor demanding Magnum get in the ring but Magnum tells him he won't do it unless the title was on the line. Tully then continues to beat down Jeffers finishing him off with the Slingshot Suplex.

Magnum then talks after the match about how he wants to maul Tully and they show the video of Magnum when he was a cop attacking Tully.

Flair is out next for a promo and this is a really fun one as Flair talks about what's going on in his life and this is extra material.

Cowboy Ron Bass vs. Kent Glover (9/1/85)

Easy win for Bass.

National Tag Titles: The Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Arn & Ole Anderson) © vs. "Mad Dog" Buzz Sawyer & Terry Taylor (9/1/85)

Sawyer & Taylor are quite the team and they start off very well working over Arn's left arm tagging in and out staying fresh. Buzz always had some of the best armdrags in the business and he was showing them off here nicely. Ole would come in and they would work over his left arm viciously as well and the armwork here by the faces have been very solid. Taylor would get isolated though and the heels would wrench over his arm before Buzz would get the tag where he would miss a running shoulder into the ringpost and now he was ripe for the pickings for the Andersons. Arn & Ole would take turns working over Buzz's left arm but he would bite them as an equalizer before hitting a desperation clothesline but Arn would tag Ole back in and he went back to work. Buzz though would get the hot tag to Terry and the 4-way brawl was on with the faces in control but as Terry got an O'Connor Roll on Arn, Ole would grab Terry and threw him over the top rope to the floor then Arn would drive his knee into Terry's arm on the floor before walking off. Crappy finish but a really solid match with some great armwork by everyone. Fairly easy nomination.

Jim Crockett comes out next and announces that on 9/21 that Gary Royal would defend his Jr. Title against Denny Brown.

Dusty Rhodes comes out next and talks about Paul Jones, Andersons, & Flair talks about him then mentioned that he saw Flair hitchhiking outside Studio 54 and that he, Bette Midler, & Hank Jr. slammed the limo door in his face. Dusty is great here talking about how great he is. Extra material.

Denny Brown vs. George South (9/1/85)

Spotlight match for Denny since he is getting the title shot in 2 weeks.

"Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant vs. Vernon Deaton (9/1/85)

Standard Valiant squash.

Tully & Baby Doll are out next for a promo talking about Magnum earlier distracting him saying that Magnum can threaten him all he wants but he won't finish the job.

Sam Houston, Italian Stallion, & Starship Eagle vs. Randy Barber, Larry Clarke, & Pablo Crenshaw (9/1/85)

Good spotlight match for the young babyfaces who needed matches like these to keep them relevant to the fans.

Black Bart & JJ Dillon are out next for a promo talking about how Ron Bass is leaving town since he can't beat Bart. Bart calls out Bass, Ronnie Garvin, & Terry Taylor saying that he has beaten all of them before and will do it again.

The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. The Rock n Roll RPM's (Mike Davis & Tommy Lane) (9/1/85)

This is a cool matchup of the RnR teams and it's worked like a Memphis style studio match with both teams working at a good pace using quick tags. Fun finish as well with Morton using a sunset flip to win.
