Bass working over the head. Big knee to the head by Bass. Tully tosses Bass to the outside. Bass got the claw again, but Tully escapes. Tully getting some offense. Flying elbow from Tully. Again Bass softening Tully's head with headbutts.Tully is the master of cheapshotting offense. Bass is busted open. Bass is just kicking Tully's ass. I've enjoyed this match, but I think it was booked a little too long especially for that finish. Post match Bart and Tully work over Bass. Still I liked it warts and all for a low end nomination.
November 14, 20169 yr comment_5775201 US Heavyweight Title: Tully Blanchard © vs. Cowboy Ron Bass (10/13/85)Bass looks good early as he takes the battle to Tully and tries to put the Iron Claw on him but Tully goes to the floor. JJ Dillon does commentary for this which was interesting since he used to manage Bass and would soon manage Tully. Bass would get the Claw while standing on the floor but that wouldn't work so he got back in the ring where he ate some offense from Tully. We go to commercial and come back with Bass having Tully reeling but he is also juicing so he wasn't 100% and Tully goes back to work on him as Black Bart has shown up on the scene as well. Bass fights back but Baby Doll distracts him allowing Tully to get back up but Bass puts him back down. This becomes a total war of atrition as both men can't put the other one away and are just firing shots. Tully would come off the top rope right into the Claw by Bass before Baby Doll ran in for the DQ. Bass then got his ass kicked by Bart & Tully afterwards. This was a pretty long TV match but had some really fun action and Bass juicing added some drama. I'll pass this forward as a low-end nomination.
