Demus has had one of the most interesting career turns of all nominated luchadores. He left CMLL, and built himself a body of really violent indy brawls. That's pretty unique. Like with all luchadores who had great matches in the 2010s and later, I wonder how much of his early work is available. The Pierrothito match still stands as a lucha singles MOTDC.

The Dorada and Bam Bam matches were damn great. It stands out how Demus has no problem stringing extremely complex stuff together even in relatively unimportant throwaway matches. He may not have a large resume of outstanding classics, but his average hitrate is pretty damn high.

Likable, endearing worker who always tries. I just haven't found the matches that would make the foundation of a GWE case for him. There's a spark of greatness in most Demus matches but they never seem to erupt into full fledged greatness. I liked him more as a CMLL mini than as a guy who uses light tubes and tables.
