NWA Pro Wrestling 10/10/87

The Super Powers start the show with Caudle talking about how the Horsemen only have one title left and that's the US Title and Dusty said that he is coming for that one. Nikita also talks about Terry Taylor telling him to bring it on while Dusty said that Ronnie Garvin is the hunted now and that everyone even his friends are coming for him.

Ronnie Garvin comes out next with the NWA Title around his waist and he gets a mixed reaction from the Misenheimer, North Carolina crowd which was interesting. Jim Crockett is at ringside to congratulate him and Ronnie said that he still can't get over being the champ but he knows now he has to fight off everyone.

Garvin KO's Angel in seconds to win the match.

The Warlord vs. David Isley (9/29/87)

Warlord just manhandles him while Paul Jones pimps the Mighty Wilbur's arrival on commentary during the match.

Cornette & MX are with Tony next pissed off about RnR not putting the NWA Tag Titles on the line against them on TV but they are defending against Arn & Tully. Morton would come out and slap Cornette in the face after Jimmy started calling his father a drunk.

No DQ Match for the NWA World Tag Titles: The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) © vs. "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard (9/29/87)

There was a reason why Bobby Eaton was using a hammerlock in recent weeks as the MX jumped the RnR on the way to the ring beating them down and Eaton used the hammerlock to injure Morton's arm until the babyfaces ran them off. Dillon breaks out his contract and demands the title match go on no matter what to Jimmy Crockett. Gibson comes back out alone and said that he would take on both Horsemen then puts up a valiant fight early on taking it to them. The numbers game would catch up to Gibson though as the Horsemen would tag in and out keeping the fresh man in the ring to punish Gibson who keeps coming back though with hope spots. The crowd goes nuts as Morton comes back with his left arm all bandaged up getting back on the apron and he tags himself in where he fights them off with one arm. Dusty, Nikita, Garvin, & Windham all come to ringside rooting on the RnR but it's for naught as Tully locks on an armbar and Gibson calls off the match to save Morton giving the Horsemen the titles. The fans hate the finish as we have new champs. This isn't a nomination but it is a Slam Dunk Extra.

Sean Royal vs. Gary Royal (9/29/87)

Chris Champion is back but not wrestling just yet as he seconds Sean in this royal matchup. Sean wins this easily and the New Breed join Caudle after the match talking about coming hard for the MX and their US Tag Titles.

Luger & Dillon are with Caudle next gloating about Arn & Tully being the NWA Tag Champs and that Flair is at home resting from losing his title to Garvin but will come back better than ever to get it back. Arn & Tully then show up with their belts and talk about they are always the dominant force in wrestling. Extra material.

World Wide Wrestling 10/10/87

Ronnie Garvin starts the show with Crockett again talking about what it means to be the NWA Champ and his plans are to be the champ for a long time.

Barry Windham vs. Gary Royal (9/29/87)

Windham wins with the Lariat in like 30 seconds.

JJ Dillon talks to Caudle next about Arn & Tully winning the NWA Tag Titles and he talks about how he feels Jim Cornette's pain about not getting a title shot but Ricky Morton put himself in the position to get injured. Arn & Tully then show up with their newly won belts to celebrate further. Extra material.

Luger & Dillon join Crockett next talking about how the demise of the Horsemen was never going to happen and they are going to be stronger than ever. Dillon then demands Johnny Weaver come out which he does and he said that he doesn't wrestle anymore as he is an announcer and an events coordinator. Weaver doesn't want to be threatened though and puts his finger in JJ's chest. Extra material.

Kevin Sullivan vs. Ricky Nelson (9/29/87)

Sullivan just mauls him who then joins Caudle after the match where he cuts a promo on just about everybody then gives a warning to Dusty that a cobra may be in his chickenhouse.

Sean Royal vs. John Savage (9/29/87)

Chris Champion is at ringside and another quick win for Royal. The New Breed then join Crockett after the match where they talk about coming for the MX again.

Dusty then joins Caudle talking about the Johnny Weaver situation and then also sends his own warning to Sullivan saying don't kick a dead dog that may come back to bite you.

Now this is a fun matchup and we actually get some of the action. The Horsemen get their chance to beat on Garvin which they do but not for long as he tags in Nikita who comes in cleaning house on both Horsemen until he misses a dropkick. Of course though TV time runs out before the finish right as Nikita makes his comeback.

Jim Crockett comes out and says that John Ayers has sent a letter demanding that Taylor return the NWA TV Title to Nikita.

Dillon is out next and they show clips of the NWA World Tag Titles change from the RnR to Arn/Tully with help from MX.
