Midnight Express vs Rock N Roll Express

This is dated 11/28/87 NWA Pro, also on the MX set disc 19. This is a really strong tag between the teams. The face shine was really good. The crowd was going nuts. The Rock N Roll Express was targeting the arm at first. Then they started going after the legs. The MX was great in their actually selling. Lane at one point had had his leg worked over. He tried aq comeback with a super kick and his injured leg collapsed. That was a nice touch. on top of it Lane sold that leg throughout. Eventually we get a commercial break and we come back and Robert Gibson is on the tail end of a bump to the floor. I'd assume it was his Gibson bump over to the floor. The MX are now working over Gibson and he's real effective in his FIP role. They do a couple of nice cut offs. I also dug the swerves in the match. Hot tag to Morton he's doing his jump punches that I'm a mark for. I They go for the double drop kick finish. We then see Bubba do his finish spot, though they throw a twist by the New Breed coming off the top for the save, but miss and hit Morton instead. Easy Nomination

World Championship Wrestling 11/21/87

Ricky Santana is out next wearing a pink blazer with a lavender tie looking mighty spiffy talking about Starrcade.

Rick Steiner vs. Ricky Nelson (11/11/87)

Steiner was a damn beast here. I loved this Steiner....the angry powerful asskicker.

Sullivan is back out for a promo about Starrcade praising Flair, Doc, & Dusty.

The Midnight Express ("Beautiful" Bobby Eaton & "Sweet" Stan Lane) vs. Rex King & Mac McGyver (11/11/87)

Your usual fun MX squash and promo afterwards. Cornette was so awesome here talking about the Skywalkers and RnR.

Flair is out next pimping the Danger Zone video and the calendar that comes with it featuring Missy Hyatt then talks about regaining the title from Garvin and loving the Horsemen fans.

The Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk) vs. Dale Laperhouse & Curtis Thompson (11/11/87)

Destruction and a promo afterwards.

Larry Zbyszko vs. Larry Stephens (11/11/87)

Squash and a promo afterwards.

The Jive Tones (Tiger Conway Jr. & Shaska Whatley) vs. El Negro & B.T. Washington (11/11/87)

Interesting seeing 4 black guys against each other and a fun promo afterwards from Shaska.

"Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert vs. George Fox (11/11/87)

Easy win for Eddie.

Nikita is out next wearing a fucking Bunkhouse Stampede trucker hat!!!!!!!!!!! for a promo.

Terry Taylor vs. Bob Emory (11/11/87)

Squash and a promo afterwards.

NWA Pro Wrestling 11/28/87

This starts with Mike Rotundo talking about the Bunkhouse Stampedes and he wants some money.

Bugsy McGraw & "Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant vs. George South & Thunderfoot (Joel Deaton) (11/17/87)

Another fun squash from the babyfaces and a promo afterwards from both which was wild.

Ricky Santana vs. Gary Royal (11/17/87)

Easy win for Santana and he cuts a promo afterwards about the Stampedes.

Rick Steiner vs. Tommy Angel (11/17/87)

Steiner just manhandles Angel while Sullivan does commentary talking about Steiner's potential.

The New Breed join Tony next for a promo talking about how they hated the Rock n Roll Express to begin with but now they are their friends and they will watch each other's backs against the MX & Bubba. This promo makes it sounds like a feud is coming.

US Tag Titles: The Midnight Express ("Beautiful" Bobby Eaton & "Sweet" Stan Lane) © vs. The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) (11/17/87)

RnR start out strong taking the fight to both MX as the fans go nuts. Gibson would get his ass kicked on the floor and this is one of the rare matches where Gibson worked FIP and he was really good at taking his beating while selling hope for the fans. MX were very good at punishing him before Morton got the hot tag where he ran wild setting off the 4-way brawl. Eaton eats a Double Dropkick and Morton has him pinned when Bubba runs in for the DQ. Bubba drops Morton with the Bubba Slam then the New Breed run out to attack the MX but Royal hit Morton by mistake with the tennis racquet as Gibson wanted to know what was going on. New Breed then cuts a promo after the match apologizing for what happened. This was a damn good match and a fairly easy nomination.

World Wide Wrestling 11/28/87

Tony & David announce to start the show that Lazer-Tron has been stripped of the NWA Jr. Title because of an injury which was great.

The Midnight Express ("Beautiful" Bobby Eaton & "Sweet" Stan Lane) vs. John Savage & Larry Stephens (11/17/87)

Cornette does commentary as the MX kick some ass.

RnR then cut a promo at ringside about the upcoming Bunkhouse Stampedes and they want the money too. We also get clips of the MX match where the New Breed cost them the match.

Mike Rotundo vs. David Isley (11/17/87)

Another good win for Rotundo with the Airplane Spin.

Bob Caudle interviews Paul Jones and his Army next about the Bunkhouse Stampede with Ivan swinging some fucking metal pipe like a madman. This is something else.

Mighty Wilbur vs. Gene Ligon (11/17/87)

Wilbur squashes Ligon and then talks to Crockett after the match about the Bunkhouse Stampede.

Ricky Santana vs. Thunderfoot (Joel Deaton) (11/17/87)

Kinda competitive match with Santana winning with a side cradle.

Decision Match for the vacant NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Title: Nelson Royal vs. Denny Brown (11/17/87)

These are the top two contenders supposedly and it's a scientific matchup or so it seemed as both men went aggressive early. The aggression continues throughout and Royal wins the match cutting back an O'Connor Roll on Denny using the tights to win the title. Fun little match but not a nomination.
