This starts out with Flair beating on some jobber when Dusty Rhodes comes out to watch and that brings out Tully Blanchard where they double up on Dusty until Baby Doll runs in the ring so Tully could rough her up. Magnum then follows and he beats on Tully....leading to....

America's Team (Dusty Rhodes & Magnum TA) vs. Tully Blanchard & Ric Flair (12/28/85)

This is a straight brawl here as Dusty is bleeding like crazy and the Horsemen were kicking ass. Magnum came in and got a belly-to-belly on Flair but Tully broke that up as the Horsemen just kept dominating. Dusty in the corner was great selling his beating as he basically leaned on the ringpost to keep him standing straight while Baby Doll encouraged him. Man were these fans in Greensboro hot for America's Team especially Magnum and then when Dusty finally got it together. Of course with this being a handheld on a tag match we miss some stuff such as Dusty & Flair fighting on the floor which got them counted out. Magnum would slingshot himself from the apron over Tully and got a sunset flip to win the match as the crowd goes crazy. This was fun as hell and I'm putting it on the block as a low-end nomination.

NWA World TV Title Tournament - Quarterfinals: Tully Blanchard vs. "Cowboy" Ron Bass (1/4/86)

This was JIP with a really cool finish as Bass had the claw on Tully on the top rope with Tully jumping off on Bass and pinning him.

Next we get the end of Arn vs. Valiant with Arn winning.

NWA World TV Title Tournament - Quarterfinals: Chief Wahoo McDaniel vs. The Barbarian (1/4/86)

This is also clipped up to the finish.

NWA World TV Title Tournament - Semifinals: Arn Anderson vs. "Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin (1/4/86)

This is also JIP and clipped up which was a shame because this went 17 minutes.

NWA World TV Title Tournament - Semifinals: Chief Wahoo McDaniel vs. Tully Blanchard (1/4/86)

Tully had issues with Garvin who was leaving the ring until Wahoo showed up and they started their match. Tully was fun stooging around early for Wahoo and then we get Wahoo doing some World of Sport type shit out of a knucklelock which was great. Wahoo just peppered Tully with strikes in and out of the ring. Tully would run into Tommy Young by mistake knocking him to the floor then used Dillon's shoe on Wahoo but Young saw what happened and ruled Wahoo the winner. Short match that I wished was better.

Ricky Morton vs. "Loverboy" Dennis Condrey (1/4/86)

This is heavily JIP also and Morton wins with Gibson's help.

Road Warrior Hawk vs. "Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff (1/4/86)

Also JIP and we get no finish.

Harley Race vs. Magnum TA (1/4/86)

This was a non-title match and JIP. We also didn't get a finish here as well.

NWA World TV Title Tournament - Finals: Arn Anderson vs. Chief Wahoo McDaniel (1/4/86)

We get the start but then it clips to Arn being announced as the winner.

NWA World Heavyweight Title: "Nature Boy" Ric Flair © vs. "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes (1/4/86)

This is clipped up....what we had looked your standard Flair/Dusty match with Magnum & Arn running out in the end.

Cowboy Ron Bass & "Pride of the Carolinas" Don Kernodle vs. Ivan & Nikita Koloff (1/25/86)

This is also clipped up to hell but the post match brawl was awesome.

US Heavyweight Title vs. NWA World TV Title (for the first 20:00): Magnum TA © vs. Arn Anderson (1/25/86)

I love that Arn is still wearing his New York Yankees hat in 1986. Again another match that was clipped which was a shame because there was some good looking stuff shown.

Taped Fist Match: "Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant vs. Tully Blanchard (1/25/86)

The fans are molten hot for Jimmy here and it was fun seeing him work against the Horsemen. Jimmy also had Baby Doll with him as a counter to Dillon. We get the first and the last of this one.

NWA World Heavyweight Title: "Nature Boy" Ric Flair © vs. "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes (1/25/86)

Dusty coming out to Bocephus singing Midnight Rider was great. There are two referees for this match with Tommy Young in the ring and Roughhouse Fargo on the floor. Dusty started out putting Flair in the figure-four like he wanted to end this shit quick was fun. The clipping would begin soon after this. What we get is still a really good match with your normal Dusty/Flair troupes but this time with 2 referees you get 2 ref bumps. Flair would take off Dusty's loaded boot and KOed him but still couldn't win. Baby Doll threw the boot to Dusty who used it on Flair and he KOed him with it for the pin but Roughhouse Fargo on the floor saw Dusty use the boot and called for the DQ. So they did the Omni finish in Greensboro with Tommy Young on the other end of the deal. This was a fun watch and there wasn't a whole lot of clipping but still we have better from these two so this isn't a nomination.

Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Title: Sam Houston © vs. Black Bart (2/2/86)

This was from Charlotte and of course JIP. The fans were red hot for Houston especially beating Bart.

US Heavyweight Title: Magnum TA © vs. The Barbarian (2/2/86)

Now this is a fresh matchup and man did this crowd love Magnum. We get some jumpcuts early but we get Magnum looking really strong before a big clip happens with Barbarian now taking over on on Magnum until he missed a diving headbutt. Magnum climbed up top before Paul Jones threw him onto Tommy Young but Magnum rebounded with a schoolboy to win. Fun fun stuff but again clipped heavily.

Tully Blanchard vs. "Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin (2/2/86)

This went to a 30:00 draw and we get just a little bit from it but hot damn what we got was great....if we had this match in full it would've been a slam dunk nomination.

NWA World TV Title: Arn Anderson © vs. "Ragin Bull" Manny Fernandez (2/2/86)

Starts out good but we get a clip and even with the clip Arn wins the match in like 6 minutes.

NWA World Tag Titles: The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) (2/2/86)

HOLY SHIT was Charlotte volcanic for the RnR....they could barely get to the ring. Another match that looked damn good but lots of clipping.

NWA World Tag Titles: The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) © vs. "Ragin Bull" Manny Fernandez & "Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin (2/22/86)

Damn this looked so good and again clipped up....what a shame. These matches also come from Roanoke which was cool.

US Heavyweight Title: Magnum TA © vs. "Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff (2/22/86)

Again another fun match clipped up.

"Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin vs. Sam Houston (3/1/86)

My god was Houston over here....they really had something but jealous Dusty let it go. Clipped hard again.

"American Dream" Dusty Rhodes & The Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk) vs. Ivan & Nikita Koloff & Baron Von Raschke (3/1/86)

Clipped up again but a blast.

NWA World Tag Titles: The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) © vs. The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) (3/1/86)

All we get here is the finish.

NWA World Heavyweight Title: "Nature Boy" Ric Flair © vs. "Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin (3/1/86)

This is a fucking great match as we get all of the Flair/Garvin specialties like the hard chops and other stiff work along with Garvin pulling Flair's tights down numerous times as Flair tries to run from Garvin which plays perfect into the finish which was a double countout with Garvin beating Flair's ass on the floor. Another plus for this is we get about 30 minutes of this match that went around 37 minutes so only 7 minutes missing isn't bad. I love these two against each other and to have a true house show match between them makes this a definite nomination to me.

America's Team (Dusty Rhodes & Magnum TA) vs. Tully Blanchard & Ric Flair (12/28/85)

This is super heated. This is a bloody brawl. They're focusing on Dusty's leg. Dusty is great at selling and showing fire. Hot tag to TA. TA is walking tall. This is really hate filled and violent. I liked this and agree on the low end nomination.

NWA World Heavyweight Title: "Nature Boy" Ric Flair © vs. "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes (1/25/86)

Flair is a pro at feeding Dusty. Flair targets the leg. Their is a little too much clipping to justify this.

NWA World Heavyweight Title: "Nature Boy" Ric Flair © vs. "Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin (3/1/86

This is a handheld. We get about 29 minutes of a 38 minute match. This is your typical match between the 2. With it being a handheld it loses the physicality. They built to a countout which is a finish to build to cage matches. Because we have this match up so represented it might not make the cut.
