Ronnie Garvin starts the show and he wants another match with Ric Flair because he knows he can win the title.

Ivan & Nikita Koloff vs. Italian Stallion & Rocky King (1/11/86)

Koloffs were all business here and it showed in the ring then afterwards we get a promo from Krusher and the Koloffs about Krusher & Nikita's tour of All-Japan. Nikita also wants Magnum starting up that feud.

Tully Blanchard vs. Mac Jeffers (1/11/86)

Easy win for Tully with David & Tony noting that Tully is becoming more aggressive with JJ as his manager.

Arn Anderson is out next with his newly won NWA World TV Title and Tony brings up the National Tag Titles which Arn said that Ole would be back in time to defend them which he wasn't. Arn said that he would defend his TV Title every week on every show.

The Barbarian vs. Art Pritts (1/11/86)

Pritts is a big dude but Barbarian just manhandles him.

Ric Flair comes out next for a promo and holy shit this is the promo where they play The Wanderer by Dion & The Belmonts. SWEET LORD THIS IS SO AWESOME AND A GRAND SLAM EXTRA.

Magnum TA vs. Thunderfoot (1/11/86)

Lots of armwork by Magnum leading to the belly-to-belly to finish it off.

Pistol Pez Whatley vs. George South (1/11/86)

David calls Whatley "the greatest black wrestler in the world." which always amused me. Pez does look really good here and South gives him a run for his money. Pez wins with his flying headbutt and then cuts a promo afterwards about 1986 being a great year.

Dusty & Baby Doll come out next with Dusty just clowning Ric Flair about his promo earlier saying that he is living proof that white folks don't got no rhythm except him. Dusty then vows to break Arn's leg and he wants the title. Definite extra.

The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. Vernon Deaton & Randy Mulkey (1/11/86)

RnR win this one fairly easily.

Then we get a promo from Tully & Dillon with clips of Tully attacking Valiant from TV over the weekend.

"Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin vs. Paul Garner (1/11/86)

Garvin stretches Garner pretty good before KOing him to win.

RnR then cut a promo next about their future challengers especially the MX and how they attacked Morton the past couple of weeks on TV. Cornette would soon follow with clips of the latest attack and he was great here.

The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) vs. Bill Mulkey & Bill Tabb (1/11/86)

I always thought it was funny when the Mulkey's or even the Jeffers' brothers would be on the same show but not team with each other. This was your standard MX destruction.

Next we get the first ever Pro Wrestling Illustrated Scouting Report on World Championship Wrestling with Magnum TA as the guest talking about wanting to win the NWA Title in 1986, a music video of the NWA World TV Title tournament, top challengers which included Bobby Jaggers & TED DIBIASE, and other topics. Good segment.

Baby Doll joins Tony next holding the National Heavyweight Title where she sends a statement to Arn again that he was next.

Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Title: Krusher Khruschev © vs. Sam Houston (1/11/86)

I really dug the legwork by Houston early on and the fans were right with him for everything but we would get a clip and came back with Krusher taking control. Krusher would send Houston to the floor and pressed him in the air before dropping him face first on the concrete which was wild. Krusher then hit a Russian Sickle off the top rope but Krusher then started selling the legwork from earlier which was great. The Roadies would run out to brawl with Ivan & Nikita at ringside then we had Krusher throwing Houston over the top rope but Animal would throw him back in on top of Krusher allowing Houston to win. America's Team would also join the fray and this was so much fun. This wasn't the greatest match in the world but I dug it as well as the other stuff at the end so I'm throwing it on the block as a low-end nomination.

The Roadies then cut a promo on the Russians afterwards setting up their upcoming matches.

NWA World TV Title: Arn Anderson © vs. Jim Jeffers (1/11/86)

Baby Doll shows up as Arn is tearing Jeffers up and he is pissed so he wins quickly and goes over there to confront her. Arn then goes over to talk shit and Dusty is standing in the ring wanting some action so of course Arn walks out. Fun stuff to end the show.

Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Title: Krusher Khruschev © vs. Sam Houston (1/11/86)

Sam Houston vs. Krusher Khruschev (1/11/86 = World Championship Wrestling 1/11/86)

I really like this dynamic. Krusher working the arm early. Sam working the leg. This is a great showcase match for Sam. Krusher is selling the leg big. This is a real meat and potatoes match. This is one of the best Krusher performances. The Road Warriors brawling with the Koloffs. Super fun finish. Low-End Nomination NWA TV 85-86 Disc1
