March 27, 20178 yr comment_5793500 This starts with the announcement of the seedings for the Crockett Cup and Bob Caudle interviews Jim Cornette in the locker room about this and he is extremely pissed about not being the #1 seed. Cornette said that his boys would take it out on the debuting Fantastics that day. The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) vs. The Midnight Express ("Beautiful" Bobby Eaton & "Sweet" Stan Lane) (3/12/88) This is simply a tremendous match with the Fants getting a huge win in their debut to set up their feud with the MX and the match at the first Clash that aired the next day. Jim Ross also being on commentary made this match even more important because he had the history with everyone involved to along with his great enthusiasm. Tony interviewed the Fants in the locker room after the match who talked about how important it was for them to win there. Slam dunk nomination.
