MX vs Kansas Jayhawks

This is good , but cookie cutter and so I 'll go no on it . I dug the spot where Dutch kinda forces Condrey to take a powder. Only for Jaggers to be waiting on the out side with a punch. Overall the match felt kinda rushed and the finish was anti climatic.

Rock N Roll Express/Dusty vs MX/Bubba
This was no rules bunkhouse brawl. Solid match that didn't get as hate filled as needed to be. I go no.

Magnum Ta vs Nikita Koloff
This 2 out of 3 Falls. This is pretty methodical, but super heated. Magnum catching Nikita with the belly to belly to capture the 1st fall. Magnum after the leg for the 2nd fall. Nikita kicks him out of the ring. Like how Nikita sells the leg. Nikita is heeling it up. Magnum is selling the beating really good. Russian sickle ends fall 2 for Magnum. The 1st 2 falls are well booked with each winning with their finisher. Amazing drama here. Nikita working the neck. Drops him neck 1st on the rope. The 3rd fall is a slug fest. Nikita working a sleeper.Magnum's comeback is insane. Bad finish aside. This was a hot match and a solid Nomination.

World Wide Wrestling 9/13/86

Bob Caudle interviews the Russians to start the show talking about all of the tough competition that is coming for them now.

"Nature Boy" Buddy Landell vs. Italian Stallion (9/9/86)

Dundee in his ode to Bruce Lee from Game of Death attire at ringside is awesome. Stallion really gives it to Landell early on before a ref bump. Landell locks on the Figure-Four and Dundee comes off the top with the Bombs Away then rolls Young back in to make the count. I wasn't expecting that finish but it was fun.

Magnum is in the ring next and demands that Jimmy Garvin come out and face him like a man so Precious comes down and runs down Magnum before leaving. She said that Magnum needs his tights on if Jimmy comes down there and they walk off. Extra material.

Misty Blue vs. Linda Dallas (9/9/86)

Hey all we need now is Ron Jeremy and we will have a "Hellcats" reunion here. The usually molten hot Columbia, South Carolina crowd didn't know what to think of the women wrestling here at first but they got them into it especially Linda who was good at working heel.

Next we get promos from Garvin, Precious, Dillon for the 10/18 show in Philly.

Then we get clips of Dusty winning the NWA World TV Title from Arn on NWA Pro with Dusty talking about wanting Tully now.

Garvin & Precious join Caudle next talking about the deal with Magnum earlier with Precious saying that Magnum was scared to death.

The Kansas Jayhawks (Bobby Jaggers & Dutch Mantell) vs. The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) (9/9/86)

So fun watching Eaton & Dutch work each other...it was like Memphis 1982 all over again. The Jayhawks are very strong early on as they have the MX flustered with everything they did. Dutch would miss a splash near the MX corner and this was what the MX needed as they would start working him over with quick tags being the key. Dutch would catch Dennis with a desperation clothesline as Dennis came off the top rope but even that didn't stop the MX as they kept up the pressure. Dutch though would eventually get the hot tag to Jaggers who came in taking it to both MX before Dutch joined the fun. Bubba would jump in the ring and he hit a big splash from the middle rope for the DQ then two more for good measure. Dutch then grabbed Shoobaby and Bubba walked away. Fun match with an angle'd up finish that kills it as a nomination.

Next we get promos from Garvin, Wahoo, Murdoch, RnR, & Magnum for the 10/18 show in Philly.

Flair & Baby Doll are out next talking about Flair's upcoming matches with Murdoch and how the Horsemen will get all their belts back.

Chief Wahoo McDaniel & The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. Ivan & Nikita Koloff, & Krusher Khruschev (9/9/86)

I loved the stuff early where Wahoo was demanding Nikita and they went nose to nose with Wahoo just chopping the piss out of him. Wahoo then starts chopping everyone before the RnR joined the fun and of course this was the time when the credits started rolling which fucking sucked.

Bunkhouse Match: "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes & The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) & Big Bubba Rogers (9/13/86)

Holy shit is this cover version of ELO that the RnR is using is horrible. Bubba's bunkhouse attire of wifebeater and suspenders is fantastic. The early exchange of Eaton & Morton punching each other in the face as hard as they could was so great. Dusty was fantastic in this setting as well doing his Dusty schtick which the fans in Charlotte were just eating up like crazy. We go to a break with Dusty in control and come back with Bubba squeezing Dusty with a bearhug so we missed a decent chunk here. Eaton would start throwing powder to offset the babyfaces but they continue to fight with Dusty beating on Bubba on the floor but Morton & Gibson get worked on in the ring. Bubba would then squeeze Dusty on the floor while Eaton put some wood in Morton's eyes until Dusty just starts kicking everyone's ass. Bobby would hit a picture perfect Alabama Jam on Morton during all of this but Morton would get the hot tag to Gibson who ran wild and everyone then got in the ring. This was total madness as Bubba climbed up top and Dusty press slammed him off then dropped him with a piledriver to win so yes they beat Bubba clean on TV in his first match. Booking aside this was a total spectacle that needs to be on the set....not as a nomination but extra material.

Then we get promos from Krusher, Ivan, Dundee, & Arn for the 10/8 show in Wheeling, West Virginia.

"Nature Boy" Buddy Landell vs. Todd Champion (9/13/86)

Good win for Budro.

Next we get a promo from Flair & Baby Doll talking about how great the Horsemen are and why Baby Doll got with them.

Garvin & Precious are out next with plane tickets for Magnum saying that he can go anywhere in the world on them if he wants to keep running from them.

2 out of 3 Falls Match for the US Heavyweight Title: "Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff © vs. Magnum TA (9/13/86)

Feeling out process early on with both men getting some offense in before Nikita started roughhousing Magnum who comes firing back before hitting a quick Belly-To-Belly Suplex to take the 1st fall. Magnum started the 2nd fall working over Nikita's left leg before going for a Figure-Four which saw Nikita kick Magnum from the ring to the floor and he bashed him into the railing. Nikita then goes to the reverse chinlock back in the ring before hitting him flush with the Russian Sickle to even the falls. The 3rd fall is a total war of attrition with Nikita holding the edge for a little while until Magnum hits a big clothesline of his own for a nearfall. Nikita though comes back and wants to keep Magnum on the mat with the reverse chinlock before going up top and missing eating a punch to the gut. Both men are very tired and can barely stand but they keep fighting hard with Magnum seeming to find the way to get more when he needed it and he had Nikita reeling when he got a backslide on Nikita but Nikita's feet were on the ropes. Magnum thought he won the match then grabbed the belt but Tommy told him he wasn't the champ so he nailed Nikita with the belt getting DQed. Magnum then put the belt over his shoulder and walked out as the crowd went nuts. This was a helluva damn match and even with the DQ finish I'm still pushing this forward as a fairly easy nomination.
