World Wide Wrestling 8/2/86

Cornette & Bubba yet again host the show with Cornette whining about Dusty being the world champ.

Bill Dundee makes his debut & Buddy Landell makes his return next in a promo with Cornette talking about how they came to face the best and they will beat the best.

The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) vs. Italian Stallion & Rocky Kernodle (7/29/86)

This lasted just a few seconds.

Next we get clips of Dusty winning the NWA Title from Flair in Greensboro.

Jim Crockett & Dusty Rhodes are out next talking about Dusty will get a new plate for the belt and Crockett guarantees that Cornette will interview Dusty next week. Dusty then talks about how important winning the title is and what he is going to do to keep it.

"Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff & Krusher Khruschev vs. Randy Mulkey & Ron Rossi (7/29/86)

Another quick squash.

Then we get promos from Ole, Cornette, & Bubba for the 8/2 show in Atlanta.

Next we get the RnR with the kids that won their lookalike contest and they talk about the Bash and the Andersons.

The Warlord vs. Mark Fleming (7/29/86)

Warlord squashes Fleming very quickly.

Don Kernodle then joins David next annoucing that his friend Capt. Redneck Dick Murdoch is coming to the area and he is coming to defend America. We also get clips of Murdoch vs. Bill Mulkey from TBS.

"Nature Boy" Buddy Landell vs. George South (7/29/86)

Landell looks great in the seconds he worked here and Dundee got his shots in after the match.

Cornette interviews the Russians after the match and they talk about coming for Dusty and Magnum.

The entire Paul Jones Army is out next gloating over shaving Jimmy Valiant bald and they say that he will never come back now. Jones now talks about going for Manny Fernandez again which brings Manny out and Jones talks about how much he wants him. Manny said that nothing will make him betray his friend Jimmy Valiant. Extra material.

Then we get clips of the hair match which Valiant lost with Valiant coming out live on the set talking about Paul Jones having big balls to try and recruit Manny. Valiant shows his shaved head and said that Paul Jones will be bald very soon.

Cornette interviews the Andersons next who talk about Dusty beating Flair and now everyone is coming for him now even his friends. They also talk about facing the RnR later on.

Magnum TA vs. Thunderfoot (Joel Deaton) (7/29/86)

Another quick win for Magnum.

Next we get a promo from the RnR & Magnum for the 8/2 Atlanta show.

Tully & JJ are out next with Tully giving Dusty props for winning the NWA Title and they say they are coming for them.

The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. The Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Ole & Arn Anderson) (7/29/86)

Well this match will either have no ending or be a really short match because TV time is almost gone. The fans are red hot for the RnR in Rock Hill, South Carolina just going nuts for all of their offense. Since time was running out they were going in fast forward here as the pace was good and they went to get the heat on Morton very early. RnR would eventually lock on two Figure-Fours and the crowd was losing their minds until they were forced to break. This became a frantic sprint before Arn held down the top rope so Gibson could go flying over the top for the DQ. Morton tried to protect him but they got attacked until the other babyfaces ran them off. Great segment and with a better finish that match may have been nomination material.

World Wide Wrestling 8/9/86

David gives Cornette shit about having to interview Dusty later on.

"Superstar" Bill Dundee & "Nature Boy" Buddy Landell vs. Todd Champion & Rocky Kernodle (8/3/86)

Landell gets the Corkscrew Elbow and Dundee hits the Bombs Away on Kernodle pretty quickly to win.

Magnum is out next with David Crockett talking about he is fighting his way back on winning the US Title. Magnum said that he has the country on his back and he must win. Extra material.

Bull & Valiant are out next talking about Jones trying to buy the Bull which both men said that it would never happen.

The Kansas Jayhawks (Bobby Jaggers & Dutch Mantell) vs. Golden Terror & Thunderfoot (8/3/86)

I loved Thunderfoot's blue and black outfit here but it wasn't enough to stop the Jayhawks from looking strong.

Ronnie Garvin is out next talking about he felt he has been robbed of being the National Champ and he is willing to put his career on the line if he loses.

"Mr. Electricity" Steve Regal vs. Rocky King (8/3/86)

Regal gets a good win here.

Cornette is hiding behind Bubba next as he has to interview Dusty or so he thought because they had a taped interview with Weaver which is the same deal they did on NWA Pro. Cornette is fun here. Extra material.

"Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin & Chief Wahoo McDaniel vs. Bill Mulkey & Mike Simani (8/3/86)

Garvin & Wahoo waste no time here putting these guys away.

Cornette interviews Flair next who talks about getting his NWA Title back and that Dusty's days are numbered. Extra material.

Paul Jones and his Army are with Cornette next gloating about shaving Valiant bald and Jones said that his offer to Manny Fernandez is there with more in the future.

Krusher Khruschev vs. Italian Stallion (8/3/86)

Stallion takes a nice bump to the floor trying a cross body block where he ended getting slammed by Krusher. Krusher then locks on a bearhug where Stallion submitted then Nikita came in and nailed him with a Russian Sickle as well.

Tully & Dillon are out next talking about Garvin whining and crying and that Tully is done with him looking for bigger and better things. Tully wants Dusty now.

The Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Ole & Arn Anderson) vs. Vernon Deaton & Mark Fleming (8/3/86)

Deaton & Fleming just get mauled here.

Nikita & Krusher join Cornette next talking about coming for all of the titles especially ones that Dusty Rhodes has.

The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. Gene Ligon & Randy Mulkey (8/3/86)

Gibson may be taped up but the RnR steamroll these guys. Andersons jump them though after the match and they work over Gibson's ribs again until Morton chases them off with a steel chair. Andersons then join Cornette for an interview but RnR would crash the scene and it's a wild brawl to the back where RnR chase them off. Morton comes back and said that the Andersons won't stop them from getting back the NWA World Tag Titles. Extra material.
