World Wide Wrestling 1/18/86

Ivan & Nikita start the show whining to David & Tony about being attacked by The Road Warriors and Krusher losing his Mid-Atlantic Title to Sam Houston.

Pistol Pez Whatley vs. Tony Zane (1/13/86)

Pez looks good here and he finished Zane off with a German Suplex hold which was cool.

Ivan & Nikita stay on with David and keep complaining about what happened to Krusher with clips of Krusher losing the title on TBS where he broke his leg jumping off the top rope.

Magnum TA vs. Vernon Deaton (1/13/86)

Magnum wins in seconds naturally.

Ivan & Nikita are still with Crockett and Nikita talks this time about wanting Magnum saying that he couldn't beat him like that.

"Ragin Bull" Manny Fernandez vs. Golden Terror (1/13/86)

Good win for Manny.

Next we get promos from Cornette & Flair for the 2/8 show in St. Louis.

Paul Jones & The Barbarian are out next with Jones talking about wanting people to face Barbarian in strengh competitions and Jones also talks about Baron Von Raschke is coming in soon.

"Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant vs. George South (1/13/86)

Quick and easy win for Valiant.

Arn & Flair are out next for a promo talking about Dusty & Baby Doll and Flair mentions that he & Arn are great because they can get heat....that's awesome.

Dusty & Baby Doll are out next for a promo with Dusty ripping Tully saying that without Baby Doll, Tully would be still be driving a Trans-Am not a Cadillac. Baby Doll then talked about treating Dusty to a bubblebath which made him very happy. Extra material.

Tully Blanchard vs. Mac Jeffers (1/13/86)

Dillon had to calm Tully down before the match and he was flustered early but he would easily put away Jeffers with the Slingshot Suplex.

The Rock n Roll Express join David next for a promo and talk about how the Midnight Express think they can take them out but they would never quit.

Cowboy Ron Bass & "Pride of the USA" Don Kernodle vs. Stoney Burke & Gene Ligon (1/13/86)

Bass & Kernodle were put together for a short time and made for a pretty decent tag team but again they didn't last long.

Then we get promos from the RnR & Valiant for the 2/8 show in St. Louis.

Ronnie Garvin is out next for a promo talking about how Flair is scared to death of him.

The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) vs. Jim Jeffers & Pat Tanaka (1/13/86)

Tanaka is wearing karate pants for the first time and this made me want a Condrey/Eaton vs. Badd Company match in the worst way. Tanaka got a little offense in here as well but the story is after the match when the RnR run out to attack the MX as the crowd went nuts watching the RnR gets some revenge from the week before. Extra material.

World Wide Wrestling 1/25/86

Baby Doll starts the show alone saying that Dusty isn't there because he is in Austin, Texas and she said that Arn Anderson is next as his days are numbered. Actually he was working in Portland that night against Flair.

"Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant vs. Vernon Deaton (1/21/86)

Valiant wins in seconds.

RnR are out next for a promo with Ricky Morton talking this week since he was done selling his throat injury and they talk about how they are coming hard for the MX.

Tony Schiavone talks to Dusty's doctor next about his ankle injury and that it's been 4 months with the doctor saying that Dusty is fully recovered now so he doesn't need the boot anymore.

Arn Anderson is out next saying that Dusty better not wear that boot again and he is coming for some martial law.

Baron Von Raschke vs. Pat Tanaka (1/21/86)

Baron makes his TV debut and he handles the young Tanaka fairly easily.

Next we get a great promo from Cornette for the 2/22 show in Roanoke ripping on the fans of Roanoke as well as Manny Fernandez.

Paul Jones is joined by the Baron & Barbarian for a promo talking about how 1986 would be the year of Paul Jones as his men would be taking over beginning with Baron helping the Koloffs in their issues.

Black Bart vs. George South (1/21/86)

Bart just mauls South.

Ron Bass joins David next and he said that he wants a piece of The Barbarian and that $10,000.

The Barbarian vs. Italian Stallion (1/21/86)

Baron does commentary as Stallion gives Barbarian a fight but he just wasn't enough to beat him.

Tully & Dillon are out next for a promo talking about Dusty no longer wearing a boot talking about a taped fist match against Jimmy Valiant and the Tim Weatherspoon/Tony Tubbs fight which was hilarious.

Cornette and the MX are out for a promo next talking about soon being the NWA World Tag Champs because they are the best in the world.

"Ragin Bull" Manny Fernandez & "Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin vs. Jim & Mac Jeffers (1/21/86)

Fernandez & Garvin are a dream team of mine and they look damn good here.

Cornette & MX were still standing around and Cornette was highly pissed at being interrupted by the last match saying that he may buy the whole show out.

The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. Thunderfoot (Joel Deaton) & Tony Zane (1/21/86)

The fans are wild for the RnR and they look impressive here beating their bigger opponents.

Then we get promos from Sam Houston, Ron Bass, & Ronnie Garvin for the 2/22 show in Roanoke.

Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard vs. Rocky King & Pistol Pez Whatley (1/21/86)

Baby Doll is on commentary here so JJ Dillon leaves the ring to get in her face with Doll telling Dillon that Dusty treats her like she wants to be treated. Dillon said that he saved Tully from her and Dillon wants to punch her but Jimmy Valiant runs him off. Inside the ring, Whatley looks good but Arn & Tully show flashes of their future awesomeness as a team. Rocky eats a Gourdbuster from the middle rope in a cool finish.

Jones & Baron are out next for a promo accepting Bass' challenge for a match with the Barbarian.
