World Wide Wrestling 1/4/86

Ric Flair starts the show talking about how he and the Andersons are trying to cripple Dusty Rhodes who just awarded himself the National Heavyweight Title.

"Ragin Bull" Manny Fernandez vs. Thunderfoot (Joel Deaton) (12/28/85)

Thunderfoot jumped Manny at the bell but he ate a Flying Burrito in less than 30 seconds for his trouble.

Tully Blanchard & Baby Doll are out next for a promo where Tully complains about how everyone wants to talk about America's Team but he cashes the big checks that's what matters. Tully then asked where Baby Doll was and she said that JJ Dillon gave her tickets to Acapulco which brought out Dillon who said that he was wrong. Tully then decked Baby Doll as Dillon held Crockett back before Dusty ran out to make the save. This is a legendary angle and a slam dunk extra.

Magnum TA vs. Mike Davis (12/28/85)

The fans are buzzing from the angle and Magnum takes out Davis in seconds with the Belly-To-Belly Suplex.

Black Bart vs. Pat Tanaka (12/28/85)

Bart takes his time squashing young Patrick here.

Next we get a promo from Cornette for the 1/19 show in Roanoke where Cornette says that the 3 things you don't want in life are the plague, AIDS, and facing the MX.

The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. Gene Ligon & George South (12/28/85)

As the RnR are handling these guys, Jim Cornette shows up at ringside yelling at them and after the match, the MX run out and attack the RnR to heat up their feud. Morton gets beaten with the racquet until Gibson runs the heels off. Extra material.

Magnum is out for a promo talking about what happened earlier with Baby Doll and said that he of all people would've wanted to punch her but he would never punch a woman so he said that Tully will get his. Magnum also wants the National Tag Titles putting the Andersons on notice.

JJ Dillon is out next wearing his contemporary suit now and he plays totally innocent towards everything that is going on with Tully and that he is coming for Dusty's foundation starting with Jimmy Valiant.

Cowboy Ron Bass vs. Tommy Lane (12/28/85)

Easy win for Bass using the Iron Claw.

Ivan Koloff & Krusher Khruschev are out next talking about Sam Houston wanting revenge against Krusher and they want the Road Warriors.

Tully Blanchard vs. Denny Brown (12/28/85)

Dillon comes out early in the match watching Tully from afar as Tully is handling his business with Denny who would come back giving Tully a fight but Blanchard is too much for him and drops him with a Slingshot Suplex. The fans chanting Dusty made him more evil during the match.

Then we get a promo from Manny and the RnR for the 1/19 show in Roanoke.

Tully then comes back out pissed off about David Crockett talking about Baby Doll being with Dusty now and he said that she belongs to him forever. Dillon then comes out and tells Tully that she will be back. Extra material.

"Nature Boy" Ric Flair vs. Mac Jeffers (12/28/85)

Flair wins easily with the Figure-Four but refuses to break the hold after the match which brings out Dusty who gets jumped by Tully using Dillon's shoe and Dusty gets put in the Figure-Four next. Baby Doll runs out trying to save him but Tully yanks her hair before Magnum runs out setting off a wild brawl. Definite extra.

World Wide Wrestling 1/11/86

Tully & JJ start the show talking about how things are going to start changing now and Dusty/Baby Doll are a the top of the list.

Cowboy Ron Bass & "Pride of the USA" Don Kernodle vs. Mark Fleming & George South (1/7/86)

Bass & Kernodle look good here as a team.

Tully then talks about how JJ Dillon is now the new Administrative Director of Tully Blanchard Enterprises and that he has moved up in the world since he has aligned with him. We get clips of Tully & Dillon attacking Valiant on that week's MACW show as a message to Dusty. Extra material.

"Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff vs. Mac Jeffers (1/7/86)

Ivan wins easily with the Russian Sickle.

Flair & Arn are out next for a promo talking about having all kinds of gold then talk about Ole being injured with clips shown of Dusty and the Roadies breaking his leg at The Omni on 1/1/86.

Next we get promos from Tully, Dillon, Flair about the 2/8 show in St. Louis.

Dusty & Baby Doll then come out next to Hello Dolly by Louis Armstrong blasting over the speakers which was great with Dusty talking about the Four Horsemen name for the first time on JCP syndicated TV and they show clips of Dusty breaking Ole's leg again. Extra material.

The Barbarian vs. Stoney Burke (1/7/86)

Barbarian just mauls poor Burke with a little help from Paul Jones.

Flair is out next talking about how much it takes being the NWA World Champ every day before bringing out a Dusty shirt and a Magnum poster where he talks about how he has a better shirt and he doesn't have to cover up his bottom half with a napkin. Extra material.

Arn then comes back out with David talking about winning the NWA World TV Title in the tournament and we get a music video to the tournament which is pretty good. Baby Doll then comes out and tells Arn that he is next and this is extra material.

"Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin vs. Gene Ligon (1/7/86)

Garvin wins with a quick KO.

Magnum comes out next for a promo saying that he is going to be on the offensive when it comes to challengers for his title and he has a hit list in mind starting with Nikita Koloff.

Tully Blanchard vs. Rocky King (1/7/86)

Magnum taunts Tully with the US Title belt before he walks off and Tully takes out his aggression on Rocky before finishing him off with the Slingshot Suplex.

NWA World TV Title: Arn Anderson © vs. Tony Zane (1/7/86)

Magnum does commentary for the match as Arn works over Zane before dropping him with the Gourdbuster.

Then we get promos from Robert Gibson & Jimmy Valiant for the 2/8 show in St. Louis.

Cornette then comes out next and said that the MX will win the NWA World Tag Titles and they must get rid of the RnR.

The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. Ron Rossi & Pat Tanaka (1/7/86)

Tanaka didn't even get in the match as the RnR won quickly but were jumped by the MX after the match where they injured Morton by dropping him throat first on the tennis racquet. Gibson then jumped the MX as they were talking to David but he got his ass kicked until the other faces made the save. Definite extra.
