Posted March 18, 20169 yr comment_5734202 National Heavyweight Title: Tully Blanchard © vs. Chief Wahoo McDaniel (7/6/86) This is a cool match for TV. Wahoo starts off strong just lighting up Tully with chops and continues the barrage for the early part of the match. I did like how Tony mentioned that these men were once partners 2 years earlier. Tully would hit a desperation knee to the head and that gave him the chance to work over Wahoo. Tully would try the Slingshot Suplex but Wahoo countered with a suplex of his own and had Tully in trouble before he dipped to the floor to rest. Wahoo would drop down to chase Tully who caught him with a blindside shot and then he would post Wahoo for good measure. Tully now goes back to work on Wahoo using the ropes for leverage before Wahoo fires up for a comeback where he had Tully pinned but Dillon put his foot on the rope. Dillon then handed Tully something which he used to KO Wahoo and as he went to pin him, Ronnie Garvin ran out and told Tommy what happened and he found the object then called for the DQ. Garvin got jumped after the match and Tully dropped him with the Slingshot Suplex. Screwy finish but a good enough match to be on the block as a low-end nomination.
April 3, 20187 yr comment_5838926 These guys have a long history with each other. Tully is so great flailing away for Wahoo's offense. Wahoo's chops sound like cannons being fired. Wahoo uses his weight to lean on Tully. Both guys have opened up cuts, and have worked up a nice lather. Fun stuff and a fun postmatch allows me to co sign the low end nom.
