I had Jinsei Shinzaki at #79.

 

Roach was in all three of the Indian Jones moves as well as Willow, a bunch of the Conan flicks, a Bond picture and two Kubrick films. He was even in Kevin Costner Robin Hood film. Woefully underrated on the list but for a long time I thought he wouldn't be nominated.

 

Villano IV is also super underrated.

He's amazing at what he does. Influenced by his podcast for sure, but I'd rather watch him excel at his gaga style than many other "great" wrestlers.

The Trish Stratus/Stephanie McMahon match built around the gimmick of Regal being unsure who to interfere on behalf of, Vince's daughter or girlfriend, is a big guilty pleasure. Never considered voting for her, though.

We've changed gears folks.

 

I really wish I could've made space for Kazuyuki Fujita. Ditto Angel Azteca. I realized he had title matches vs. Emilio and watched a bunch of his trios after I'd already finalized my ballot. Oh well. DEAN's list is a gift that keeps on giving.

Yumi is someone I have loved in my limited samplings. I wish I had seen more, because she was working her way onto my list.

Already ten from my list have appeared and we're through 384. I wonder how many will still be left when we hit 100. Really enjoying the reveal process.

• Many years of bad Tenzan performances and a less puro-fied crowd here than SC likely hurt Tenzan, but this doesn’t feel like a big plunge.
• Sakaguchi was on my ballot almost the whole time and somehow fell off in the final week or so. Ikeshita is likewise awesome. I could have honestly had a list that was just 100 workers from ’75-’87 Japan.
• No votes for Cien Caras in ’06 is lame, but I understand why.
• I popped for the Shinzaki photo.

I don't think Tenzan is all that great although I still might take him over Kojima because bad Kojima is seriously bad Japanese Wrestling Eating Itself stuff.
