World Championship Wrestling Sunday Edition 12/14/86

Ric Flair starts the show talking about JCP making their debut in Chicago that night and JCP's expansion across the country which is one of the first signs of the end. Flair is awesome here. Extra material.

The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. Vernon Deaton & Art Pritts (12/13/86)

Easy win for the RnR.

The Andersons are out next for the promo saying that the RnR are miracles for coming back to the ring as soon as they did and Ole said that they were coming for the NWA World Tag Titles and US Tag Titles. Ole then ripped on the manipulators like Dusty & Jim Crockett which was great. Extra material.

Barry Windham vs. Brodie Chase (12/13/86)

Good spotlight match for Barry.

Tully & Dillon are out next for a promo talking about the Bunkhouse Stampede and how it isn't always about skill but luck. Tully then calls out the Super Powers as well.

NWA World TV Title: Tully Blanchard © vs. Rocky King (12/13/86)

Rocky goes after Tully's bum left leg early and he has Tully in trouble before Tully would send Rocky to the floor which gave him time to recover and he then would just tee off on Rocky before finishing him off with the Slingshot Suplex.

Valiant comes out next for a promo saying that he is a new man since shaving Paul Jones' head and that they are over with. Valiant then talks about what Christmas means to him and this is good stuff. Extra material.

"Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin vs. Randy Mulkey (12/13/86)

Mulkey gets frisky to start before Garvin drops him on the back of his head with a backdrop suplex. Garvin would soon follow with the Brainbuster.

The Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Ole & Arn Anderson) vs. David Isley & Ron Rossi (12/13/86)

These poor guys get mauled.

Windham comes out next wearing a fucking San Francisco 49ers satin jacket which was great and he said that the US Tag Titles will be his & Ronnie Garvin's for a long time.

RnR are out next with Morton wearing a Mickey Mouse sweatshirt...how cute...and they say yet again they want their belts back.

Ragin & Ravishing (Manny Fernandez & Rick Rude) vs. Robert Burroughs & Alan Martin (12/13/86)

Ragin & Ravishing with another dominating performance here and then we get a promo from the heels afterwards.

World Wide Wrestling 12/20/86

The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) vs. Rocky King & George South (12/12/86)

MX win very easily.

Bob Caudle interviews Garvin & Windham next about the MX wanting a shot at their titles with Windham saying that they would fight them anytime and anywhere. Garvin then says that they would defend against anyone.

"Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin & Barry Windham vs. Vernon Deaton & Mike Simani (12/12/86)

Good win for the US Tag Champs.

Caudle interviews Roadies & Ellering next who say that they will finish off the MX & Cornette for good soon then shout out the Horsemen as well as Ragin & Ravishing.

"Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant vs. Tony Zane (12/12/86)

Valiant has his new music here and the crowd goes nuts for him as he kills Zane.

Flair is out next with Caudle dressed for action later and he is pumped up about comments made by Hawk earlier then talks about The Super Powers and he says he gets anything he wants. Extra material.

Tully & Dillon are out next for a promo with Caudle talking about what was said earlier by the Roadies & Flair. Tully then again talks about being the real US Champ.

The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. Ragin & Ravishing (Manny Fernandez & Rick Rude (12/12/86)

This is a non-title match where the RnR start this off strongly as they have the heels flustered with their speed and agility. Both Rude & Manny were very good at bumping here for the RnR. Morton using Manny's own karate style offense on him was fun. This match was the opposite of the title change as the RnR totally dominated the champs here in this one working over both men very hard. We come back from break with the champs now getting the heat as Rude & Manny are working over Gibson's leg so we missed the key spot there. Gibson was really strong selling the legwork as the crowd was trying to will him to tag in Morton. Ricky would eventually get the hot tag and he ran wild on Bull before Gibson & Rude joined the fun then we got a Double Dropkick on Bull for a nearfall. Paul Jones jumped on the apron with a steel chair where they used it on Morton's arm with Tommy Young calling for the DQ. They just destroyed Morton's arm with the chair until Gibson dropkicked the chair in Bull's face. This wasn't as strong as the title change but still a damn good match and a fairly easy nomination.

Next we get promos from Windham & Nikita, for the 1/10 show in Philly.

Russian Chain & Texas Bullrope Match: The Super Powers (Dusty Rhodes & Nikita Koloff) vs. Arn Anderson & "Nature Boy" Ric Flair (12/12/86)

Dusty coming out to Bocephus is never not awesome and yes it is "Can't Judge A Book By It's Cover" and the crowd is apeshit. We only get a couple of minutes of this but it looks fucking awesome.

World Championship Wrestling 12/20/86

Cornette & Bubba start the show talking about wanting the US Tag Titles.

The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby eaton) vs. David Isley & Zane Smith (12/14/86)

MX look very strong here.

Ivan is out next for a promo talking about getting revenge on Nikita where he first mentions the name of Vladimir Petrov.....uh oh.......

RnR are out next for a promo talking about how they aren't going anywhere and they will get their belts back.

"Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin vs. Vernon Deaton (12/14/86)

Deaton tries to fight Garvin but that is a losing battle as he wakes up Mr. Torture who just stretches him like hell. Windham then joins Garvin after the match for a promo talking about how they are going to be great US Tag Champs.

Brad Armstrong vs. Brodie Chase (12/14/86)

Brad looks really good here.

The Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Ole & Arn Anderson) vs. Rocky King & George South (12/14/86)

King & South look good early on getting some shine on Arn but the Andersons would eventually outclass them as expected. The Andersons cut a promo afterwards talking about how they are the rightful tag champs no matter what Dusty or Crockett says. Arn then cuts a promo on Nikita talking about how hungry he is for his title.

"Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff vs. Art Pritts (12/14/86)

Nikita just manhandles Pritts here.

Tully & Dillon are out next for a promo talking about Dusty winning two Bunkhouse Stampedes the day before in Philly & Baltimore but they said it was all luck.

The Super Powers are out next for a promo with Nikita wanting to talk about the Horsemen and that they were coming for them. Dusty then talks about going to the bank with Bruce Springsteen. Extra material.

Barry Windham vs. Tony Zane (12/14/86)

Zane is game but Windham is just too good at this time. Windham then wishes everyone a Merry Christmas afterwards and says that he wants Ric Flair.

The Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk) vs. Butch Cooper & Larry Stevens (12/14/86)

Total destruction.

Brad Armstrong is out next for a promo talking about how he wants everyone to have a Happy Holidays and his family is going to handle the business with Dundee & Garvin.

The Roadies & Ellering are out next for a promo talking about the Horsemen and the MX saying they want to hurt people.

"Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff & Krusher Khrsuchev vs. Al Garrett & Bill Tabb (12/14/86)

Easy win for the Russians.

Flair is out next for a promo talking about Nikita gets blown up every time they wrestle and he is like the girls at the Marriott when they can't take anymore. Flair then rips on Dusty saying that who you want to wake up next to...Willie Nelson or Deborah Shelton. Extra material.

Ragin & Ravishing (Manny Fernandez & Rick Rude) vs. Bill & Randy Mulkey (12/14/86)

Mulkeymania faces the Awesome Twosome and get destroyed. Then they cut a promo with Paul Jones afterwards warning all the other tag teams that they would get hurt.

NWA World TV Title: Tully Blanchard © vs. Randy Barber (12/14/86)

Tully toys with Barber before finally putting him away with the Slingshot Suplex.

RnR Express are out next for a promo ripping on Ragin & Ravishing.

Cornette then comes out with his boys for a promo about the Roadies and wanting the US Tag Titles.

Chief Wahoo McDaniel vs. Paul Garner (12/14/86)

Good to see Wahoo back on TBS after a while being gone and he just tears Garner up.

The Four Horsemen are out again en masse for a group promo and again this is a tremendous promo. Definite extra.

World Wide Wrestling 12/27/86

Ragin & Ravishing (Manny Fernandez & Rick Rude) vs. Eddie Roberts & Alan West (12/15/86)

The champs win in seconds.

RnR Express then cut a promo afterwards vowing to get the belts back and they say they are the only RnR here.

Flair then cuts a promo about how he has made 3 million over the last 18 months and how every man wishes that Flair would lose but it isn't happening. Extra material.

The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) & Big Bubba Rogers vs. Ricky Lee Jones, Rocky King, & George South (12/15/86)

Bubba breaking out a fucking Liger Bomb to beat King was amazing here.

The Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Ole & Arn Anderson) vs. Nelson Royal & Mike Simani (12/15/86)

Royal gives the Andersons a fight but poor Simani is toast.

Ivan is out next with David Crockett talking about how Nikita is an American now not a Russian and that Vladimir Petrov is coming to teach him the old country way.

Barry Windham vs. Ron Rossi (12/15/86)

Windham wins quickly with a big lariat.

Garvin & Windham then cut a promo next with Crockett talking about being the US Tag Champs for a long time and they want anyone to challenge them.

"Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff & Krusher Khruschev vs. Bill & Randy Mulkey (12/15/86)

Poor Mulkeymania have no chance here.

The Super Powers are out next and Nikita talks about Petrov saying that he is better than him and he talks about his first Christmas saying it was the best he could ever have.

NWA World TV Title: Tully Blanchard © vs. Gary Royal (12/15/86)

Gary puts up a decent fight but falls to the Slingshot Suplex in the end.

The Andersons are out next with Crockett talking about wanting money from the Bunkhouse Stampede and all the tag titles. Arn again talks about being naked without a title.

"Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin vs. Tony Zane (12/15/86)

Garvin wins fairly quickly with the Brainbuster.

The last episode of World Wide in 1986 ends with a Four Horsemen group promo which was very fun. Arn then talks about how worrying about tag teams is over and he wants singles gold. Then at the end, Dillon kinda blocks Ole from putting his hand with the others. I love the foreshadowing here. Extra material.

World Championship Wrestling 12/27/86

The Super Powers start the show with a promo talking about going to Minneapolis that night and tearing up the town.

"Capt. Redneck" Dick Murdoch vs. Brodie Chase (12/27/86)

Murdoch is back from the New Japan tour and he gets an easy win on Chase.

Jim Crockett is out next with Ronnie Garvin and he said that Garvin must give up a title and he gives up his Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Title which would never be seen again.

Ivan is out next with Tony talking about how the Russians are back full strength in 1987 with Vladimir Petrov coming in.

US Tag Titles: "Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin & Barry Windham © vs. The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) (12/27/86)

Cornette on commentary that his Christmas present to David Crockett was the address to the Columbia School of Broadcasting was great. Both teams looked very good to start with the faces having the edge as they were keeping the MX on the mat. Garvin hitting the sunset flip off the top rope for a nearfall was cool. Garvin would get isolated by the MX and they worked him over prettty good before we go to break and we come back and Windham is in the ring so we missed the tag which sucks. Windham now gets dominated by the MX and this is also really good as the MX were such great offensive wrestlers. Garvin comes back in and he runs wild on the MX before he gets worked over again. The stretch run towards the end was fun as Garvin was doing whatever he could to keep Eaton from pinning him for the last minute. Condrey would hit his brainbuster and he almost got Garvin when the bell rang for the 20:00 draw. The heels then jumped the champs afterwards for good measure afterwards. This was a very strong TV match and I think it's a fairly easy nomination.

Then we get a commercial for the Rock n Roll Express Fan Club. Definite extra.

The Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk) vs. Bill & Randy Mulkey (12/27/86)

Sweet lord Mulkeymania dies a hard death here and they cut a promo afterwards talking about coming to their home away from home in Minneapolis that night. The Super Powers then join them at the table and they talk about how Nikita has earned everyone's trust and that the Horsemen are dead.

Cornette & his boys come out next with Cornette saying that he bought the Roadies the Brian Bosworth biography to read when they get hospitalized. Cornette then talks about how they beat down the US Tag Champs and they are going to win their titles.

Ragin & Ravishing (Manny Fernandez & Rick Rude) vs. Pablo Crenshaw & David Spencer (12/27/86)

Ragin & Ravishing again win a dominant squash match then cut a promo with Paul Jones about beating up on the RnR Express and all the other teams.

Garvin & Windham are out next and they say that they will handle the MX their way and Garvin promises violence.

The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. Kent Glover & Zane Smith (12/27/86)

The fans are extra hot for the RnR here and they please them by winning easily.

Then we get Bill Apter presenting the Tag Team of the Year to The Rock n Roll Express and Wrestler of the Year to Ric Flair with Flair then cutting a live promo. Tony then tells Flair that the fans want him to defend the title on TV and he said that he would for the right money. This is a definite extra.

NWA World TV Title: Tully Blanchard © vs. Pat O'Brian (12/27/86)

Tully has no problems here winning quickly with the Slingshot Suplex.

RnR Express then cut a promo talking about being Tag Team of the Year and wanting their titles back.

"Superstar" Bill Dundee vs. Clement Fields (12/27/86)

Dundee is back after being gone a few weeks and he takes care of Fields easily.

The Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Ole & Arn Anderson) vs. Randy Barber & Bill Tabb (12/27/86)

Tony notes openly that Arn isn't wearing the normal maroon colors here as again they are foreshadowing the future. Regardless the Andersons are a force here. Andersons cut a promo afterwards next with Dillon coming out to interupt him saying that Arn is getting closer to getting that US Heavyweight Title shot followed up by an Arn promo. Extra material.

Murdoch is out for a promo talking about how Tully cheated Dusty out of the TV Title at Starrcade and how he can't wait to work in Amarillo again on 1/3 saying that other groups have been there to bore the fans.

Brad Armstrong vs. Mike Jackson (12/27/86)

Fun little match here with Brad getting the Russian Legsweep to win.

Tully & Dillon are out next for a promo talking about how everyone wants to beat on the Horsemen which proves how important they are.

Dundee & Garvin are out next for a promo talking about how he now manages The Barbarian and he sent him to Japan to beat up everyone over there. Dundee then challenged Nikita to put up his title against Barbarian when he comes back. Garvin then says that 1987 will be better than 1986 was.

"Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin vs. Alan Martin (12/27/86)

Garvin wins with the Brainbuster fairly quickly.

Brad then comes out and said that he still has unfinished business with Garvin & Dundee but he wants a shot at Flair which brings out Garvin who said that he wants to slap his face but TV time runs out.

The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. Ragin & Ravishing (Manny Fernandez & Rick Rude (12/12/86)

These guys just had killer matches all the time. Heels stooging it up for the Rock n Roll Express. Rude taking some sky high bumps. The faces with really fun shine. Crowd is hot for this. Rock n Rnroll keeping the heels off balance. The heels work it and we havea souther tag. When it was times for the heels to get the heat it was magical. High end nom

Other matches have been discussed, and I'm cool the extras.
