World Wide Wrestling 4/19/86

This starts with clips of Arn & Tully trying to break Garvin's hand from WCW.

"Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin vs. Tony Zane (4/15/86)

Garvin barely gets the big Zane up for the Brainbuster.

Next we get a promo from Paul Jones, Baron, & Shaska and they talk about their war against Valiant.

"Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff vs. Mark Fleming (4/15/86)

Ivan makes quick work of Fleming and Nikita helps Ivan beat him down some more afterwards.

Then we get clips of an angle between Flair & Morton from WWW.

Nighthawk Coltrane vs. Ron Rossi (4/15/86)

Coltrane wins easily with the Shoulderbreaker.

Next we get a promo from Garvin & Precious who talk about Wahoo and he said that he did research on how to treat Indians and he brings out some trinkets such as fake jewelry and headdresses as well as beef jerky. This is wild.

Then we get a promo from Valiant who is highly pissed about Shaska cutting his hair.

"Ragin Bull" Manny Fernandez, Chief Wahoo McDaniel, & Hector Guerrero vs. Black Bart, Leo Burke, & Thunderfoot (4/15/86)

Interesting match here for WWW and the faces just steamroll these guys with quick tags and high impact offense. It would finally break down into a 6-way brawl before Bull caught Thunderfoot with the Flying Burrito to win. Impressive squash match.

Garvin & Precious are back out next talking about Wahoo of course and they show clips of Garvin dropping Wahoo with a Brainbuster but he said that he didn't try to hurt him yet.

Next we get taped promos from Tully, Jones, Baron, & Whatley.

Bull joins David Crockett next talking about Shaska turning on Valiant and how he has betrayed the brotherhood. Paul Jones shows up with a briefcase and tries to recruit him saying he needs him. Bull said he didn't sell out in Vietnam and he ain't now....well at least for the moment. This is a definite extra.

Sam Houston & Nelson Royal vs. Gene Ligon & George South (4/15/86)

Sam & Nelson look good here especially Sam who was starting to come into his own.

The Russians are out next for a promo talking about Magnum & Roadies and their vendetta against them with clips from MACW where they destroyed Magnum and he was helped out of the area.

"Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant vs. Vernon Deaton (4/15/86)

This is a quick squash.

Coltrane & Bull are out next talking about their issues with Whatley.

Baron Von Raschke & Shaska Whatley vs. Denny Brown & Rocky Kernodle (4/15/86)

The faces put up a small fight but the heels overpower them.

Wahoo is out next for a promo on Garvin talking about when he turned heel and how he has regretted that for over a year and he isn't going to let Garvin get him down again.

World Wide Wrestling 4/26/86

David & Tony start the show talking about the Roadies winning the Crockett Cup and Ronnie Garvin reinjuring his hand.

Tully & Dillon come out and talk about it being tax season and how the injuries that are coming won't be covered.

Hector Guerrero vs. George South (4/21/86)

Hector coming out to Pancho & Lefty by Willie Nelson & Merle Haggard was awesome. South gives Hector a fight but falls in the end.

Dusty & Baby Doll are out next with Dusty wearing some fucking awesome mid 80's shades and he talks about how Baby Doll saw Cornettet & MX trying on women's clothes as now this feud has started.

"Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff vs. Todd Bradford (4/21/86)

Bradford would become Todd Champion and he was green as grass here but the women were screaming for him. It didn't help as Ivan took care of him but you could tell that they had plans for Todd as he got some shine before losing.

Arn Anderson is out next for a promo where they talk about how the Horsemen attacked Ricky Morton and injured his face.

"Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin vs. Rocky Kernodle (4/21/86)

Precious isn't here and David Crockett explains that she is out shopping. Garvin just nukes Rocky with the Brainbuster.

Ronnie Garvin is out next and he said that this Horsemen beatdown nonsense will end soon you can bank on it. Then we get video of the Horsemen rubbing Morton's face on the concrete which of course is a definite extra.

Flair is out next and David gives him shit about injuring Morton saying that he was jealous of him. Flair then calls Garvin a whiner and that the world needs heroes like the Horsmen & Ronald Reagan. Flair then rips on Morton more and this is a definite extra.

Next we get clips of Crockett Cup 86 set to Frank Stallone of course.

"Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin vs. Golden Terror (4/21/86)

Garvin KOed Terror but he hurt his hand in the process.

RnR come out next for a promo with Morton's face all bandaged up from the beatdown and he cuts a great promo vowing revenge. Definite extra.

Wahoo is out next talking about Garvin and he wants a match with him any time he can get it.

Robert Gibson vs. Ron Rossi (4/21/86)

Morton is at ringside as Gibson hits a reverse neckbreaker to win in seconds.

Ronnie Garvin is out next talking about his hand injury and how it's getting better but he still wants Tully & Flair.

The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) vs. Vernon Deaton & Mike Simani (4/21/86)

The MX are pissed about not winning the Crockett Cup and they take it out on these jobbers. Cornette then yells about wanting Dusty to come out which he does and this leads to Dusty attacking the MX & Cornette. Baby Doll jumps in and Eaton catches her with an elbow then hits Dusty with the racquet and Cornette then hits her in the stomach with the racquet which sends everyone running to the ring. This was sold as a death shot and then Crockett yells at Cornette before walking off. Cornette then cuts a great promo and this is a slam dunk extra.

World Wide Wrestling 5/3/86

David & Tony talk over footage of both men in the locker room before they go to Johnny Weaver who interviews Ric Flair also in the locker room who really puts over both men and how important the match is.

Dusty is at ringside with Tony & David and he is going to join them at the announce table and David asks Dusty about the Baby Doll situation which Dusty said that revenge for Baby Doll is coming. Dusty then pulls out some tape and said that Garvin doesn't have an advantage with it.

National Heavyweight Title: Tully Blanchard © vs. "Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin (4/29/86)

Garvin is definitely the aggressor early on as the crowd goes nuts when he just throws Tully from pillar to post. Garvin just lays in the shots but he sells the pain from each shot on his hand so he wants to take the match to the mat to take the pressure off of his hand. Garvin also would use his jumping headbutts as a big weapon as well which one of them forced a little trickle of blood from over Tully's eye. Tully is like a ragdoll here just taking punishment from all directions but he stays alive showing his resiliency. Tully watch Ronnie with a big knee to the gut sending him to the floor and that allowed Tully to get control of the match or so I thought as Garvin came back with a cross body block off the top rope for a nearfall. Garvin is selling that hand like crazy though even to the point where he couldn't even hook the leg on a pinfall attempt. Garvin would start focusing on Tully's left leg working it over hard stretching it around the ringpost with Tully yelling loudly in pain. This is becoming a completely grueling battle and the tide would turn when Garvin would get rammed into the ringpost shoulder first then Tully would grab Dillon's shoe and banged him over the head with it. Tully then started working over Garvin's bad right hand but Garvin wouldn't say die and would find ways to stay alive as well getting offense in. Garvin breaks out the Garvin Stomp here maybe for the first time and Dusty was fucking great calling the move.....This is now in slugfest territory as both men trade big shots but both won't go down. Garvin would throw Tully into Tommy Young so Dusty went over and taped Garvin's hand while Dillon gave Tully some coins but Garvin hit him first and Tommy counted the pinfall. The building goes nuts as Dillon points to the tape on the hand and tells Young that Garvin used them so he grabbed the belt and handed it back to Tully. The announcers were trying to tell Tommy about the coins which JJ was picking up and this was quite the creative finish even though it was bullshit. The match was fucking tremendous and a slam dunk nomination.

Then we got to the locker room with Tully & Dillon who were celebrating victory.

World Wide Wrestling 5/10/86

This starts with Paul Jones & Shaska Whatley talking about shaving Valiant's head making him a bald headed geek. Shaska calling Manny Fernandez an "off brand colored boy" was hilarious.

Tully Blanchard vs. Gene Ligon (5/6/86)

Tully wins with the Slingshot Suplex very quickly.

Cornette is out with David Crockett next talking about how the James Boys are definitely Dusty & Magnum with clips from the WCW match.

"Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff vs. Italian Stallion (5/6/86)

Nikita quickly used the Russian Sickle to knock off Stallion.

Manny Fernandez & Hector Guerrero are out next talking about growing up together and how they are coming for the NWA World Tag Titles.

Baron Von Raschke & Shaska Whatley vs. Denny Brown & Rocky King (5/6/86)

The heels dominated here and then Baron broke out a black glove which he used on his claw hand for an Iron Claw pinfall.

Manny cuts a promo with Crockett afterwards saying that his glove deal isn't good and that bad things could be coming but his crew is ready. Valiant then joins him for some shouting.

The Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk) vs. George South & Thunderfoot (5/6/86)

Thunderfoot is now a complete jobber and they get destroyed. Hawk broke out his Canadian Backbreaker drop as well for the first time.

Dillon is out next talking about the Garvin/Tully match from the week before and he knows nothing about the coins in the ring other than the fans threw them there. Dillon then talks about the upcoming Great American Bash tour and the Horsemen will be running the show.

Flair then comes out and talks about how great he was and how he was going to slap Road Warrior Hawk.

Jim Crockett comes out next with Sandy Scott and they talk about the Great American Bash tour.

"Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff vs. Randy Mulkey (5/6/86)

Ivan wins easily with the Cobra Clutch.

Wahoo is out next for a promo and we get clips of him facing Thunderfoot on MACW when Precious shows up and Garvin not far behind to attack him. Arn would join in and they doubled up on Wahoo which he said won't happen again.

The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. David Dillenger & Ron Rossi (5/6/86)

Dillenger eats a Double Dropkick in seconds to end the match.

Next we get a promo from Paul Jones & Shaska about Valiant and their mission to destroy him.

Tully & Dillon are out next with Tully agreeing with Dillon about the coins bit but all that matters is that he is still the National Champion.

The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) vs. Sam Houston & Nelson Royal (5/6/86)

Sam starts off really strong here taking it to the MX which has Cornette furious at ringside. Nelson would come in and it's more of the same until Eaton rakes him in the eyes but it wouldn't last long as the crowd was molten hot and the faces were feeding off of it. Eaton would throw Houston up high in the air for a desperation face drop and then Royal ran in as we get a brawl with Cornette using the tennis racquet on Houston. The James Boys then showed up and took care of the MX then but a rope around Cornette where they drug him out of the ring and out of the building. David Crockett followed them with the cameras outside where they tied Cornette to their truck and they almost drug him but the MX made the save. Crockett then interviewed the James Boys and said that outlaws live their way. This was an amazing segment in every way and a slam dunk extra.

World Wide Wrestling 5/17/86

Tully Blanchard & "Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin vs. Sam Houston & Chief Wahoo McDaniel (5/13/86)

This is JIP a little but not much. Wahoo works over Tully early before Garvin could get in and they would work together to get Wahoo down. Houston would get the tag and Garvin would have him down on the mat but Houston wouldn't go down easy. Wahoo would get the tag back in but again the heels were tough foes and took him right back down to the mat. Tully & Garvin would use their smarts to switch in and out as well to keep a fresh man in but not legally. Houston would get back in and again the heels would stop any babyface offense immediately. Tully would hit Houston with the Hot Shot then dropped him with the Slingshot Suplex to win the match. Wahoo attacks Garvin after the match but Tully would knee him from behind then Garvin dropped him on the floor with the Brainbuster. The match wasn't a nomination but the angle is a definite extra.

Ronnie Garvin joins Crockett talking about his hand recovering and he has the tape off of it. Garvin also talks about how he is going to still go after Flair even if he is battling Tully right now.

Crockett then asks Dillon why do that to Wahoo and he said that a message had to be sent that if he wants Tully's title then that could happen to him.

Todd Champion makes his debut promo here and he is green in the ring and on the mic.

NWA World TV Title: Arn Anderson © vs. Italian Stallion (5/13/86)

Stallion tried but failed after a Gourdbuster as Arn was like a buzzsaw.

Robert Gibson vs. "Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff (5/13/86)

Interesting match here and the story of the match is Gibson using his speed and agility to keep Nikita grounded but one mistake changed that as Nikita would take advantage of a missed monkey flip and he started battering Gibson inside and outside the ring. Gibson valiantly fights back and has Nikita pinned on a reverse cross body block but Nikita throws him on Tommy Young. As Young recovers, Ivan uses the chain on Gibson but Young did see it and called for the DQ. They jump Gibson afterwards until Morton runs out to make the save. Fun match but not a nomination.

NWA World Tag Titles: The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) © vs. America's Team (Dusty Rhodes & Magnum TA) (5/13/86)

This is a brawl at the bell as America's Team just pounds on MX and of course TV tim runs out right now.....

World Wide Wrestling 5/24/86

Ronnie Garvin is out with Crockett talking about how he is the real National Heavyweight Champion and he would get his title at the Great American Bash.

The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) vs. Sam Houston & Rocky Kernodle (5/13/86)

Houston puts up a fight early on but this is a quick squash for the MX.

NWA World TV Title: Arn Anderson © vs. Chief Wahoo McDaniel (5/13/86)

Wahoo works over Arn's left leg a little while Arn keeps Wahoo grounded on the mat with a chinlock as it's a stalemate early on. Arn though started throwing some bombs which brought out some blood from an old wound on Wahoo's head giving some extra oomph for the match. Wahoo then started lighting up Arn with chops then hit a big suplex on Arn for a nearfall. Arn then would start stalling as much as he could but Wahoo would light him up more and more and pinned Arn but Arn got his foot on the bottom rope so the match continued. Arn would then backdrop Wahoo over the top rope to the floor for the DQ to save his title. Yeah this had potential but it missed a good ending and could've went longer.

World Wide Wrestling 5/31/86

This starts with clips of Flair trying to break Morton's nose.

The Barbarian, Teijho Khan, & Shaska Whatley vs. Italian Stallion, Rocky Kernodle, & Gene Ligon (5/27/86)

Total squash and to make matters worse for the jobbers, Baron put on his black glove and used it on Ligon.

RnR then come out for a promo with Morton all bandaged up on the nose and he wants to get revenge his way. Morton also is wearing a shirt that is tied around the waist like a true redneck in 1986.

Ivan & Nikita Koloff vs. Mike Simani & George South (5/27/86)

Nikita shoving Tommy Young who shoved back was the highlight of this squash.

Next we get the Magnum/Nikita press conference for the upcoming uS Heavyweight Title match between them and this is one of the biggest angles of the era in JCP. Jim Crockett then said that he was very unhappy with what happened with Ivan following him saying that he was happy with what happened himself. Slam Dunk extra.

NWA World TV Title: Arn Anderson © vs. Hector Guerrero (5/27/86)

This looks like an awesome match and it starts strong with Hector taking it to Arn but Tully runs out like 30 seconds in the match and they try to injure Hector but the RnR ran out to make the save.

World Wide Wrestling 6/7/86

David & Tony spoil the US Title change to start the show because it hadn't aired yet on WTBS.

Wahoo then comes out with his strap and he is pissed about being attacked by Garvin & Regal on the NWA Pro tapings that night.

"Mr. Electricity" Steve Regal vs. Italian Stallion (6/3/86)

The fans chant for Wahoo like crazy but he doesn't come out. Regal doesn't have it easy here as Stallion gives as good as he gets with the fans going nuts but Regal would finish him off with the Russian Legsweep to win.

Garvin & Regal then cut a celebration promo afterwards about their beatdown of Wahoo.

Tully & Dillon come out next and we the Norfolk video again with new narration.

Then we get the whole Magnum being stripped of the US Title saga.

The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. Golden Terror & Thunderfoot (6/3/86)

This crowd is completely apeshit for RnR as they take apart the masked jobbers with Morton using a DDT to beat Terror.

The Horsemen are out next minus Ole of course all dressed up in suits talking about how great they are and then we get Dusty and the babyfaces behind him with Dusty challenging Flair to get in the ring later on for a match on TV. Flair said that it costs a ton of money to get him to work on TV..this is a definite extra.

Cornette & Bubba are out next and he said that the bounty on the James Boys has been raised to $100,000.

Ivan & Nikita Koloff vs. Denny Brown & Sam Houston (6/3/86)

Ivan takes some good punishment early from the faces but a quick Russian Sickle by Nikita on Sam ends the match just like that.

Magnum comes out next with his US Title belt which he lost because he was pushed over the line by the Koloffs and he said that the title belongs to him and no one else. Very strong promo from Magnum and extra material.

Teijho Khan, Baron Von Raschke, & Shaska Whatley vs. Todd Champion, Rocky Kernodle, & Rocky King (6/3/86)

After some back and forth action, Baron would get the black glove and used it on Rocky to win the match.

"American Dream" Dusty Rhodes vs. Vernon Deaton (6/3/86)

Dusty who rarely wrestled on the syndicated TV gets rid of Deaton then Flair who he challenged earlier in the show comes out for a match.

NWA World Heavyweight Title: "Nature Boy" Ric Flair © vs. "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes (6/3/86)

Dusty is really working over Flair when Arn & Tully ran out for the DQ this runs out though before Ole's return.

World Wide Wrestling 6/14/86

Ric Flair opens the show talking about the Bash coming up and all of the title defenses that are in his future.

Magnum TA vs. Thunderfoot (6/10/86)

Thunderfoot tries to jump Magnum at the bell and he eats a Belly-To-Belly Suplex for his trouble.

Flair then talks about Magnum and flexes his muscles talking about his great lifestyle.

The Warlord vs. George South (6/10/86)

Baby Doll is with the debuting Warlord here and he is jacked to the gills of course. Warlord was discovered by Animal and trained with Eddie Sharkey but he was green as grass.

Then we get clips of Ole returning from last week in the beatdown on Dusty.

Next we get Ronnie Garvin with Crockett although David called him Jimmy which he had to apologize for which was funny. Ronnie talks again about coming for Tully & Flair before Bull & Valiant join him to talk about Paul Jones.

Arn comes out next and talks about Ole being back and that the Horsemen are going to cripple people.

The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. Ron Rossi & Tony Zane (6/10/86)

Quick win for the RnR.

"Ragin Bull" Manny Fernandez & "Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant vs. Bill & Randy Mulkey (6/10/86)

Mulkeys get manhandled here.

Tully Blanchard vs. Vernon Deaton (6/10/86)

Tully shakes Deaton's hand and then destroys him with a Slingshot Suplex in seconds.

"Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin vs. Rocky King (6/10/86)

Garvin drops King quickly with a Brainbuster to win.

Cornette & Bubba are out next talking about how great the MX is before Baby Doll shows up and says Cornette is no man then Bubba grabs her which brings out Dusty and then Baby Doll would KO Eaton as Magnum & Warlord show up to even the sides. This is a definite extra.
