The Super Powers start the show with a promo talking about going to Minneapolis that night and tearing up the town.

"Capt. Redneck" Dick Murdoch vs. Brodie Chase (12/27/86)

Murdoch is back from the New Japan tour and he gets an easy win on Chase.

Jim Crockett is out next with Ronnie Garvin and he said that Garvin must give up a title and he gives up his Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Title which would never be seen again.

Ivan is out next with Tony talking about how the Russians are back full strength in 1987 with Vladimir Petrov coming in.

US Tag Titles: "Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin & Barry Windham © vs. The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) (12/27/86)

Cornette on commentary that his Christmas present to David Crockett was the address to the Columbia School of Broadcasting was great. Both teams looked very good to start with the faces having the edge as they were keeping the MX on the mat. Garvin hitting the sunset flip off the top rope for a nearfall was cool. Garvin would get isolated by the MX and they worked him over prettty good before we go to break and we come back and Windham is in the ring so we missed the tag which sucks. Windham now gets dominated by the MX and this is also really good as the MX were such great offensive wrestlers. Garvin comes back in and he runs wild on the MX before he gets worked over again. The stretch run towards the end was fun as Garvin was doing whatever he could to keep Eaton from pinning him for the last minute. Condrey would hit his brainbuster and he almost got Garvin when the bell rang for the 20:00 draw. The heels then jumped the champs afterwards for good measure afterwards. This was a very strong TV match and I think it's a fairly easy nomination.

Then we get a commercial for the Rock n Roll Express Fan Club. Definite extra.

The Road Warriors (Animal & Hawk) vs. Bill & Randy Mulkey (12/27/86)

Sweet lord Mulkeymania dies a hard death here and they cut a promo afterwards talking about coming to their home away from home in Minneapolis that night. The Super Powers then join them at the table and they talk about how Nikita has earned everyone's trust and that the Horsemen are dead.

Cornette & his boys come out next with Cornette saying that he bought the Roadies the Brian Bosworth biography to read when they get hospitalized. Cornette then talks about how they beat down the US Tag Champs and they are going to win their titles.

Ragin & Ravishing (Manny Fernandez & Rick Rude) vs. Pablo Crenshaw & David Spencer (12/27/86)

Ragin & Ravishing again win a dominant squash match then cut a promo with Paul Jones about beating up on the RnR Express and all the other teams.

Garvin & Windham are out next and they say that they will handle the MX their way and Garvin promises violence.

The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. Kent Glover & Zane Smith (12/27/86)

The fans are extra hot for the RnR here and they please them by winning easily.

Then we get Bill Apter presenting the Tag Team of the Year to The Rock n Roll Express and Wrestler of the Year to Ric Flair with Flair then cutting a live promo. Tony then tells Flair that the fans want him to defend the title on TV and he said that he would for the right money. This is a definite extra.

NWA World TV Title: Tully Blanchard © vs. Pat O'Brian (12/27/86)

Tully has no problems here winning quickly with the Slingshot Suplex.

RnR Express then cut a promo talking about being Tag Team of the Year and wanting their titles back.

"Superstar" Bill Dundee vs. Clement Fields (12/27/86)

Dundee is back after being gone a few weeks and he takes care of Fields easily.

The Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Ole & Arn Anderson) vs. Randy Barber & Bill Tabb (12/27/86)

Tony notes openly that Arn isn't wearing the normal maroon colors here as again they are foreshadowing the future. Regardless the Andersons are a force here. Andersons cut a promo afterwards next with Dillon coming out to interupt him saying that Arn is getting closer to getting that US Heavyweight Title shot followed up by an Arn promo. Extra material.

Murdoch is out for a promo talking about how Tully cheated Dusty out of the TV Title at Starrcade and how he can't wait to work in Amarillo again on 1/3 saying that other groups have been there to bore the fans.

Brad Armstrong vs. Mike Jackson (12/27/86)

Fun little match here with Brad getting the Russian Legsweep to win.

Tully & Dillon are out next for a promo talking about how everyone wants to beat on the Horsemen which proves how important they are.

Dundee & Garvin are out next for a promo talking about how he now manages The Barbarian and he sent him to Japan to beat up everyone over there. Dundee then challenged Nikita to put up his title against Barbarian when he comes back. Garvin then says that 1987 will be better than 1986 was.

"Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin vs. Alan Martin (12/27/86)

Garvin wins with the Brainbuster fairly quickly.

Brad then comes out and said that he still has unfinished business with Garvin & Dundee but he wants a shot at Flair which brings out Garvin who said that he wants to slap his face but TV time runs out.
