Almost half of my ballot is gone now. Starting to wonder who the fuck is gonna be in the Top 100.

A bunch of boring choice from 2006, some overrated fuckers from Memphis and Portland and some WWE guys who shouldn't approach the Top 200 (mind you, I probably voted for most of them too minus the WWE guys).

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck Koji Kanemoto AND Minoru Suzuki back to back. I knew today was going to suck.

 

I wish I'd been here to pimp Kanemoto. He's got a pretty great resume and adapted really well once his knees went to shit.

I'm really interested to see where Manami Toyota lands, considering she's always been a hot button topic.

 

Listen, I TOTALLY get how some people are so frustrated with a lot of her match structure (or total lack thereof). I see it, I acknowledge it. But she's also just as athletically gifted as pretty much any wrestler, like, ever pretty much. I've never seen any wrestler male or female quite like her. I think she's worthy of a top 100 spot based on that because some of what she can do is just so outrageous and so good that I find it impossible to consider ignoring it, but I also know there are people that would rather stab themselves in the hand with a fork than vote for her.

 

She's basically the greatest possible Kurt Angle ever. However that rubs you probably determines a lot.

I kinda regret voting for Toyota actually. Especially since I didn't vote for Devil and a bunch of others. Way too many great matches, but I was never a Toyotalite. Denying her was too hard though.

Minoru was also someone I had considered for my list, but he just missed out. Has a case for the most unique wrestler on the planet right now.

This is why I put her 99. It was me being okay with what I thought was her best stuff (which was really high end) while also knowing her faults were almost enough to drop her off entirely.

And then Alexander Otsuka. oof.

 

I forgot about Kurt Angle. Do people here not care for him too? Who finishes higher Kurt or Trips?

We're at the point where everyone is great. It only gets tougher at the end.

I think Ishikawa and Ikeda will make the 100. Fujiwara, Tamura and Han are the only other shootstyle guys who will I think.

Another interesting one at least to me. Who finishes higher, Hogan or Cena?

Had Sano at #30, which is probably way too high but considering where he landed, I'm glad I did it. There's only one vote I really feel stupid about.

 

Seriously, the final list looks like it's gonna have some serious crappy candidates. Hogan ? HHH ? Really people ?

Sano is my 30th guy, so I guess I should be happy that over half of the next 125 will be from my list. I should start looking at it that way.

 

Also the dread for Triple H has gotten so overwhelmingly absurd that now I'm actually rooting for him to finish even higher. I didn't even vote for that a-hole
