I enjoy how Gilbert and Rich are hit and move. A really good story. Some really good spots like Eddie Gilbert's drop kick spot. Sid coaxes Rich into a test of strength which is a real game changer. This match isn't a great match but a good piece of story telling. I'll give it a low-end nomination.

The Midnight Express ("Beautiful" Bobby Eaton & "Sweet" Stan Lane) & "Dr. Death" Steve Williams vs. Agent Steel, Cruel Connection #1, & Bob Emory (9/25/89)

Doc making a rare syndicated TV appearance at the time and he joins the MX in squashing these guys.

Next we get another promo from Ric Flair, Brian Pillman, & Sting talking about Halloween Havoc and I loved seeing these guys together.

Rick & Scott Steiner vs. Trent Knight & Richard Sartain (9/25/89)

Steiners just throw these guys around quickly.

The Skyscrapers ("Dangerous" Danny Spivey & Sid Vicious) vs. "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert & Tommy "Wildfire" Rich (9/25/89)

Gilbert tried to stick and move early on and I loved that Spivey tried to block Gilbert's low dropkicks so Gilbert dropkicked him in the face while he was on his knees. Rich comes in and he takes turns getting worked over by both big men but he comes fighting back before tagging in Gilbert. I dug the hi-lo Thesz Press that Gilbert got but Teddy Long would distract Gilbert who ate a powerbomb for the finish. This was a fun match and the most competitive match the Skyscrapers had on TV but this isn't a nomination.

Then we get a promo from Z-Man.

Next we get the Woman promo revealing Kevin Sullivan as her associate.

Another impressive victory for Z-Man.

This starts with a promo from Z-Man talking about Halloween Havoc.

Z-Man keeps racking up the wins on TV.

Next we get a video on the evolution of Robin Green to Woman.

Then we get a taped promo from Ric Flair, Sting, & Ole Anderson about Thunderdome.

The Fabulous Freebirds (Jimmy "Jam" Garvin & Michael "PS" Hayes) vs. Greg Evans & Jerry Price (10/2/89)

We get an inset promo from the Dynamic Dudes before the match talking about wanting to get the Freebirds. Birds are in a better mood here but they still manhandle these guys.

Next we get Joe Pedicino Knows.

Then we get Terry Funk & Gary Hart talking to Bob Caudle and Funk tells Hart he wants him to burn the towel because he doesn't want it thrown in.

Next we get a promo from the Steiners talking about getting revenge at Halloween Havoc.

The fans are molten hot for the Flair & Sting team and this is a fun little match.

Chris Cruise makes his debut on commentary here with Jim Ross and it's fun watching the Steiners do Steiner things to these big dudes.

Flyin Brian Pilmman & The Z-Man vs. The New Zealand Militia (Rip Morgan & Jacko Victory) (10/9/89)

Pillman & Zenk team up on TV for the first time and they look damn good as a team against a solid foe here in a good little match.

Terry Funk vs. Paul Drake (10/9/89)

Funk is nuts here jumping the railing going into the crowd riling them up and they were rowdy in West Palm Beach that night.

Sting vs. Julio Barretto (10/9/89)

Impressive win by the Stinger.
