Another fun match in the Terry Funk/Lee Scott saga as Lee slapped Funk in the face right when the bell started which was great. Terry chased him around then got him on the floor where he dropped him with a piledriver then rolled him in the ring for the pin.

Tommy Rich cuts a promo next about him & Ranger Ross getting a shot at The Freebirds next week.

Sting vs. Cowboy Jake Steel (10/16/89)

Sting gets an easy win.

Next we get Joe Pedicino Knows.

Lane takes the mic from Cornette before the match and introduces him & Eaton while calling Cornette the world famous advisor to the Dynamic Dudes...hilarious. Easy win for the MX and the fans love them some MX.

NWA World Tag Titles: The Fabulous Freebirds (Jimmy "Jam" Garvin" & Michael "PS" Hayes) © vs. Tommy "Wildfire" Rich & Ranger Ross (10/23/89)

This was part of the Dream Match series of November and this is an interesting match. The faces started out strong and had the Birds reeling as they worked over both of them very well. The Birds would get control and they did a good job of working over Rich. Ross is fun working the corner keeping the fans into the action as Rich takes a beating. Ross gets the hot tag and he runs wild on the Birds before it turns into a 4-way brawl. Hayes would drop Ross with the DDT and he covered him to win the match. Very fun matcn and I'll co-sign a low-end nomination.

The Great Muta vs. Louisiana Cajun (10/24/89)

Easy win for Muta.

Next we get a promo from Kevin Sullivan & Woman who say that Doom will get rid of the Steiners.

Four Corners Elimination Match for $5,000: Flyin Brian Pillman vs. Cuban Assassin vs. "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert vs. Wild Bill Irwin (10/24/89)

This is maybe the first 4-way match to ever be on TV and this was pretty innovative at the time. They keep the action going at a good pace and the rules of you could tag anyone made for some interesting matchups. The story is about the past issues between Gilbert & Pillman and they don't show any problems here as they tag in and out rapidly. Assassin was the first one eliminated and then Gilbert let Pillman stay in the ring a while where he would get worked over by Irwin then acted heelish in the corner playing up to the fans like he wasn't doing anything wrong. Pillman would reverse a Superplex and pinned Irwin leaving him and Gilbert with Eddie coming in for the attack. They would bump heads and Eddie landed on top of Pillman but Pillman would roll him up into a win. Gilbert was upset after the match naturally. This wasn't a nomination but I really dug this.
