Al Perez vs Bobby Fulton

I'm digging Fulton's arm work, but we get a clip.

Tully and Windham vs Garvin/Wilbur

Tully is great at stooging for Wibur. A guy always for the match. Garvin is in and the shine really gets going. Garvin and Tully are so great together. Windham gets the claw, and begins a great battle with Garvin. They cut Garvin off and work him over. they give Garvin the Garvin stomp. Wibur in and they are pinballing big for him. Claw though by Windham ends it. This is a close one. I'll push it forward and see what you guys think.

MX vs Doc/Koloff

Eaton or Ivan Koloff might be the best ever at shining up a face. Faces useing their power to own the Express early. Now it's Lane's turn to bump around. I love how the Midnight Express set up the heat. Which never happened. It must have been clipped out of the match.Give me a heat segment and we have an easy nomination.

Bobby Fulton vs. "Latin Heartthrob" Al Perez (5/31/88)

It's interesting that like the Rogers/Eaton match the week earlier in that they clip this one up a little bit and we lose a good chunk of it. What we got was fine for what it was.

Kevin Sullivan then is interviewed by JJ Dillon next talking about the Tower of Doom describing the rules etc.

Tully Blanchard & Barry Windham vs. "Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin & Mighty Wilbur (5/31/88)

Two interesting teams here for sure. Wilbur frustrates Tully early on using his weight to get him off his game then Ronnie would come in to turn it into a slugfest. Ronnie had Tully reeling until he went into the Horsemen corner and Windham put the Iron Claw on him from the apron which was a cool touch. Windham would come in and he had a fun exchange with Ronnie before they would get full control working him over good and Ronnie does a good job as the FIP taking punishment. Wilbur gets the hot tag and Sumter, South Carolina goes nuts for him mauling the Horsemen but Windham would lock on the Iron Claw and took him down for the pin. This was a fun little TV match and if this means Wilbur gets on the set I'll pass it forward.

"Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff & "Dr. Death" Steve Williams vs. The Midnight Express ("Beautiful" Bobby Eaton & "Sweet" Stan Lane) (5/31/88)

Interesting matchup here with two power guys against two speed guys. Eaton is really good early on making the faces look good with their power moves selling and bumping for them hard then Lane comes in and it's more of the same as the MX are getting steamrolled here. Nikita would take a hard bump through the ropes to the floor where he got hit hard with Cornette's racquet. Either we got a clip or Nikita's FIP section lasted no time because he would make a comeback quickly then tagged in Doc who ran wild cleaning house on the MX before the match went to the floor where it ended in a double countout. Doc then tried to press slam Cornette but Eaton would nail him with the racquet. Fun match with a hot crowd but it was disjointed.
