I also loved they used the old Mid-Atlantic opening for this show.Ed "The Bull" Gantner & Barry Windham vs. Dory Funk Jr. & Prince Samu (5/9/87)So odd having Humperdink do commentary alone as a heel. Gantner is a dude who they turned babyface and were trying to make into a new Dusty type figure in Florida but it didn't work because he wasn't any good. Windham looks very strong here but the match itself is okay as Dory wasn't that hot and Samu was fine but nothing special.Dory Funk Jr. then joins Humperdink and said that they have a lot of money going on between them and no one will mess with him again. Dory then talks about coming to get the Florida Heavyweight Title.Florida Heavyweight Title: Mike Rotundo © vs. Kevin Sullivan (5/9/87)This was an okay match again nothing special. Prince Samu would get Pee Wee Anderson distracted when Dory Funk Jr. ran out and attacked Rotundo with a boot allowing SUllivan to win. Bill Alfonso & Ed Gantner ran out and told Pee Wee what happened so they reversed the decision. It was a wild brawl next with the faces cleaning house.Next we get a promo from WRESTLETHON 87 fron WATL in Atlanta with Gordon Solie & Boni Blackstone as part of a telethon for some fallen Atlanta police officers. Tony Schiavone would interview The Lightning Express from TBS Studios in an empty arena like The Omni promos talking about the situation.NWA World Tag Titles: Ragin & Ravishing (Manny Fernandez & Rick Rude) © vs. The Road Warriors (5/9/87)Roadies start out strong here working over the champs fiercely with Animal almost killing Manny with a press slam. The champs though would eventually get on offense and Hawk was isolated in the ring but not for long as Animal would come in cleaning house and now we got a 4-way brawl. Animal caught Manny with a big slam off the top rope then we got Ellering & Jones fighting in the ring and Pee Wee Anderson called for the bell and a DDQ. Fun for what it was.Kevin Sullivan joins Humperdink next talking about almost winning the Florida Title and he really pushes Ed Gantner hard here in the promo.NWA World Heavyweight Title: "Nature Boy" Ric Flair © vs. "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes (5/9/87)Dusty is here in the house that he built with Buddy Colt even doing the ring announcing. There is only 5 minutes of TV time left and this is some fun stuff.Then we get an episode of Power Pro Wrestling which I've already seen.
