NWA World Heavyweight Title: "Nature Boy" Ric Flair © vs. "Dogfaced Gremlin" Rick Steiner (1/6/89)

Steiner puts on Flair's robe before the match on the floor which was hilarious. The early part of the match is Flair trying to work over Steiner but Rick ain't letting it happen and just throws Flair around while using his schtick to frustrate him. Flair would eventually get control and kept Steiner grounded which bores the cameraman who decides to just show the ceiling a couple of times. Steiner doing the Bob Backlund lift from the mat on Flair was cool but Flair cheapshotted him in response. Flair would get the Figure-Four on Steiner using the ropes for leverage and weakened Steiner's knee pretty good. The battle would go to the floor and this is where Steiner made his comeback and would hit his Belly-to-Belly on Flair for a nearfall before Flair would pin Steiner with his feet on the ropes to win the match. This was a fun match indeed but I don't think there is enough here for a nomination.

Barry Windham vs. Eddie Gilbert (3/18/89)

This was a decent match and Windham sells his bad hand after hitting the post. Gilbert takes as good as he gives of course until Windham goes over using the tights.

NWA World Heavyweight Title: Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat © vs. "Nature Boy" Ric Flair (3/18/89)

They already had an amazing match earlier that day at the Capital Centre in Landover, Maryland and here is another one which was different in ways which was great. We get though a lot of their usual great spots and chemistry but unlike the Landover match, the Windhams show up along with Lex Luger and Flair gets a pin on Steamer with help from the ropes as the Philly fans lose their minds but it gets overturned and Steamer would pin Flair not like after that. Great match although not as a great as Landover but still a slam dunk nomination.

The Road Warriors & "Precious" Paul Ellering vs. The Varsity Club (Mike Rotundo, "Gamesmaster" Kevin Sullivan, & "Dr. Death" Steve Williams (2/4/89)

This had no sound and the match wasn't much.

NWA World TV Title: Mike Rotundo © vs. "Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff (9/10/88)

This went way too long for me and it wasn't that great.

NWA World Tag Titles: "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard © vs. The Midnight Express ("Beautiful" Bobby Eaton & "Sweet" Stan Lane) (9/10/88)

This was supposed to be a 2 out of 3 falls match but it's the champs last night so they changed it. The fans are red hot for the MX here which they always were in Philly. This was a really fun back and forth match with a tremendous finish that has to be on the set for historic reasons as well. Easy nomination.
