World Wide Wrestling 7/5/86

The Rock n Roll Express vs. Golden Terror & George South (6/24/86)

RnR win in seconds.

Cornette & Bubba are out guest hosting again and they interview Garvin & Precious and man is Cornette's attire hilarious.

The Warlord vs. Mark Fleming (6/24/86)

Another quick and easy win for the Warlord.

America's Team are out next for a promo and Dusty wants to know where Cornette went. They talk about how they want those NWA World Tag Titles and that Big Bubba won't stop them.

The Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Ole & Arn Anderson) vs. Don & Rocky Kernodle (6/24/86)

This is a family affair but only one was a real family. Kernodles put up a good fight as Don tries to save his brother from double-teams every time. The Kernodle's also use the Andersons playbook because they work over the left arm of both men. Rocky would get Arn in a sleeper and Ole would come off the top allowing Arn to cover to win. This was a very competitive match and one of the better WWW matches this year but not enough for a nomination.

Next we get promos from the Russians & Cornette for the 8/2 show in Atlanta.

Cornette sitting in his wicker chair then talks about taking care of Baby Doll once and for all on the Bash tour.

The Road Warriors vs. Gene Ligon & Mike Simani (6/24/86)

This was a quick destruction.

Cornette again sitting in his wicker chair talks about Flair's run of defenses at the Bash and we get a taped promo from Flair at an empty Techwood Studios talking about how he will be champ forever.

The Midnight Express ("Loverboy" Dennis Condrey & "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton) vs. Todd Champion & Nelson Royal (6/24/86)

The faces put up a fight but the MX are just too good and they take advantage of the green Champion to win.

Roadies & Ellering are out for a promo next so Cornette has dipped out again and they vow to win the NWA World Tag Titles and even the NWA World Heavyweight Title at the Bash.

"Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff vs. Tony Zane (6/24/86)

Russian Sickle, Cobra Clutch, and goodnight.

Then we get promos from RnR & Magnum for the 8/2 show in Atlanta.

Cornette interviews the Russians next and they talk about winning some titles at the Bash.

The Barbarian & Baron Von Raschke vs. Bill & Randy Mulkey (6/24/86)

Mulkey Mania was coined by Cornette here maybe for the first time and they get destroyed.

Cornette again does more commentary from his wicker chair where he promises that he will talk to his mother live on the air next week. Then he rips on Baby Doll yet again to close the show.

World Wide Wrestling 7/12/86

Cornette & Bubba are here again as co-hosts.

"Pride of the Carolinas" Don Kernodle vs. Gene Ligon (7/8/86)

Interesting seeing Kernodle get squash match wins this late in 1986.

Bull & Valiant are out next talking about shaving Shaska bald in Charlotte on 7/5 with clips of the finish to follow. They promise to shave Paul Jones' head next. This is extra material.

Tully Blanchard & The Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Ole & Arn Anderson) vs. Sam Houston, Italian Stallion, & Rocky King (7/8/86)

Spartanburg fans get behind the faces whenever they got some offense but the Horsemen were just too dominant here.

Next we get promos from Arn, Paul Jones, Baron, Shaska, Garvin, & Precious for the 8/16 show in Philly.

Shaska Whatley vs. Mark Fleming (7/8/86)

I love that Shaska didn't shave his head completely as he left the patches of hair on there. Shaska finishes off Fleming quickly and Barbarian hits a diving headbutt off the top rope for good measure.

Then we get clips of Magnum/Nikita from Veterans Stadium in Philly on 7/1 with Magnum on the narration and he is extra fired up. Extra material.

Cornette interviews Flair next who guarantees that he will survive the Bash and that Dusty Rhodes will have to call him the greatest champion of all-time.

Chief Wahoo McDaniel vs. "Mr. Electricity" Steve Regal (7/8/86)

Regal attacks Wahoo at the bell but he pays for that eating some serious choppage. Wahoo keeps up the pressure until Garvin runs in to make it 2-on-1. The beatdown continues until Don Kernodle runs out to make the save.

Cornette then interviews Tully & Dillon next where Dillon talks about the Horsemen dominating the world even mentioning the MX.

The Warlord vs. Thunderfoot (7/8/86)

Thunderfoot loses in seconds.

Cornette interviews the Russians next and they talk about Nikita having the edge in the Best of 7 series at the moment.

"Nature Boy" Ric Flair vs. Todd Champion (7/8/86)

This is an interesting TV match watching Flair work the rookie. Flair wins very quickly with the Figure-Four Leglock.

Next we get promos from Valiant, Wahoo, & RnR for the 8/16 show in Philly.

Cornette now has his MX with him and they talk about his mama not being able to call into the show and then we get clips of Dusty getting beaten up by Big Bubba on 7/5 in Charlotte.

The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) vs. Vernon Deaton & Mike Simani (7/8/86)

Another match that ends in seconds.

Cornette & MX then cut a promo when Baby Doll shows up with Warlord where she challenged both MX to go out there and face the Warlord. They all go down to the ring and Warlord overpowers both MX before Bubba KOed him with some quarters. Bubba then gets ready for more when America's Team shows up with RnR and the heels all leave the ring. Great angle and a definite extra.
