Western States Heavyweight Title: Barry Windham © vs. Big Bubba Rogers (7/18/87)

Rogers & Akbar riding the bullpen car to the ring was classic. They go to a break before the match started but what we get is really fun as Bubba bumps like a motherfucker and Windham almost hits a tope to Bubba on the floor as he hits Bubba with his elbow. Windham would then hit a cross body block off the top rope for a quick win. Way too damn short and I wish we had a longer match. Windham cut a promo afterwards challenging all comers and said that he wants Luger's US Title now.

US Tag Titles: The Midnight Express ("Beautiful" Bobby Eaton & "Sweet" Stan Lane) © vs. Michael "PS" Hayes & Buddy Roberts (7/18/87)

MX & Cornette ride on the bullpen car as well with Cornette holding his tennis racquet high in the air which was great. Cornette then says that every woman in the stadium wants to molest the MX. Cornette goes on commentary during the match saying that he is going to fry the Birds like KFC. This is such a fresh matchup that we needed more of during this whole JCP takes over the world thing. We go to a break very early in the match as Eaton is pinballing around for the Birds and come back with Lane getting back in the ring from the grass. MX got frustrated and did their fake breakup deal with the fans going nuts as the Birds were embarrassing them. The Birds looked really strong here as both Hayes & Roberts were getting offense on the MX who were being total chickenshits here. Cornette held Buddy as Lane grabbed the racquet and smashed Buddy to win the match in their only real offense hilarious.....Terry Gordy then runs out and tells Tommy Young what happened and he reversed the decision calling for the DQ. Very fun match but MX not even getting offense was something else.

Bunkhouse Match: Terry "Bamm Bamm" Gordy & "Dr. Death" Steve Williams vs. "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert & "Capt. Redneck" Dick Murdoch (7/18/87)

This is JIP which sucks because it was pretty fun.

NWA World Tag Titles: The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) © vs. The Mod Squad (Basher & Spike) (7/18/87)

Mod Squad getting their big shot here but they are dominated by the RnR early on although they would isolate Robert although not for long as Morton would get a hot tag and the Double Dropkick followed but the Squad found a way to survive that. Gibson though would get a sunset flip from the apron on Basher to win the match.

Then we get the Dusty promo on Luger followed by a video of Nikita and how he has worked through his neck injury.

Next we get a promo from Luger & Dillon in the locker room with the US Title.

This is followed by clips of Flair/Garvin with a promo from the Garvins & Precious in the locker room afterwards about where they go from here.

Then we get the promo from Flair & Dillon from 7/18/87 WCW.

NWA World Heavyweight Title: "Nature Boy" Ric Flair © vs. Road Warrior Hawk (7/18/87)

We only get about a minute of this after they showed all of the clips and promos before the match.

Then we get clips of Morton & Tully brawling from the 8/1 WCW.'

"Nature Boy" Ric Flair vs. Rocky King (8/4/87)

Flair wins in seconds with the Figure-Four Leglock and doesn't break the hold after the bell until Ronnie Garvin comes in the ring for a staredown which leads to a fucking awesome brawl. The Horsemen then ran out to help Flair and Garvin was KOing all of them like a fucking maniac until they finally got him down. They beat him down until the RnR led the babyfaces to make the save. This is a slam dunk extra.

US Tag Titles: The Midnight Express ("Beautiful" Bobby Eaton & "Sweet" Stan Lane) vs. "Gorgeous" Jimmy Garvin & "Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin (8/11/87)

Ric Flair is on commentary with Bob Caudle for this one. The Garvins are dominant early on with the MX being great at bumping and selling for them. Jimmy's bad left knee though was ripe for the picking and the MX once in control became obsessed with destroying the knee. Ronnie was really good at selling the struggle from the apron as Jimmy was great selling in the ring. Flair wants to get in the ring very badly and goes to Cornette wanting in as Jimmy gets the hot tag to Ronnie who starts throwing bombs on the MX then Jimmy starts fighting along with him. Ric then jumps in the ring attacking Ronnie for the DQ but Ronnie just goes nuts on him as Windham runs out to make it even. Ronnie would go behind Flair and got an O'Connor Roll with Tommy Young making the count leading to a hilarious Flair facial. The match was really good but the angle at the end puts it over the top as a nomination.

Next we get a video on Eddie Gilbert.

"American Dream" Dusty Rhodes vs. Colt Steele (8/11/87)

One of the rare Dusty TV matches at the time and Johnny Weaver is with Dusty at ringside as Dusty has been learning the Weaver Lock from him and it gets confirmed afterwards in a promo. Dusty also said that Ronnie Garvin would be the next NWA Champ and that he & Nikita were coming for the US Tag Titles.

Then we get clips of Arn & Tully attacking the RnR.

This is followed by some UWF clips and other random clips that I've already seen.

The Rock n Roll Express vs. The Midnight Express (6/28/87)

Cornette isn't here so the story is the MX are trying to go on without him and him not being there is hurting them. RnR are very strong early but Eaton would slingshot Morton over the top rope to the floor in a very dangerous spot then Lane would rub Morton's face in the floor. You would think we would be getting Morton as FIP but nope as he got the tag to Gibson and then we get a ref bump with Morton to the floor as the MX just nuke Gibson with Eaton hitting a big Alabama Jam. Long then DQed the MX ending a good match.

Then we get more stuff I've seen.

NWA World TV Title: Tully Blanchard © vs. Ricky Morton (5/26/87)

This is JIP and is a fairly short match.

Lazertron & "Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant vs. The New Breed (Chris Champion & Sean Royal) (5/26/87)

Funny watching New Breed sell and bump for Valiant then mock Lazertron before he comes in the ring. Tron would return the favor though mocking Royal strut around. This whole early part is nothing but hemming and hawwing but it's entertaining at least. Tron hits a nice slingshot plancha to the floor on Royal who was being held by his hair by Valiant. Breed then started dominating after that though and really worked over Valiant's left leg. Lazertron would get the hot tag and hit a diving headbutt off the top rope on Royal to win.

The Super Powers (Dusty Rhodes & Nikita Koloff) vs. The Thunderfeet (5/19/87)

Easy win for the Super Powers.

Then more stuff I've seen.

The Fabulous Freebirds (Terry "Bamm Bamm" Gordy & Michael "PS" Hayes) vs. Rick Steiner & Sting (6/6/87)

This is Sting & Steiner's first appearance in Greensboro and Hayes whips the crowd in a frenzy before the match talking about kicking some ass. This is one of the final times that Sting worked heel and it was fun watching him stooging around. The match was fine nothing special as the Birds looked strong to start then the heels got the heat on Hayes before Sting crotched himself by mistake on the top rope allowing Gordy to get the hot tag. Gordy runs wild before it turns into a 4-way brawl. Gilbert then tries to help with a clothesline off the top rope but he hit Sting instead and Gordy covered to win.

Then more stuff I've seen.
