WWC Tag Titles: The Renegade Warriors (Mark & Chris Youngblood) © vs. Chicky Starr & Ron Starr (June 1988)

This is from a TV taping and the Youngbloods start out strong as they stifle the heels in every way plus it helps that Chicky & Ron are so good at working this chickenshit style. THe heels would get the heat on Mark and they did a good job here of controlling him especially Ron who was simple but effective on offense. Mark had some good hope spots and got the hot tag to Chris who ran wild on the heels before Mark could join in for the 4-way brawl. Ron ate a big double dropkick then Chris did his springboard splash into the ring but as Ron tried to drop a knee off the top rope he hit Chicky. Chris then suplexed Chicky into the ring but Ron pulled his foot and the heels won the titles or so it seemed. The Invader ran out and told the referee what happened and he reversed the decision bringing out the heels who threw a big tantrum in the ring. This was a really fun Southern tag match and a fairly easy nomination.

This was just super. Classic Southern tag formula with the Starrs cutting off the ring and the crowd cheering on to get the hot tag. Really great hot tag segment with the Youngbloods cleaning house and hitting some nice moves that would not feel out of place at all in the Usos repertoire. Great finish with enough missed spots where you think the heels are going to lose only for Chicky to hold the leg so Ron can get the final pin. Great match!!!! Definite nomination.
