Posted May 28, 20169 yr comment_5754989 Universal Heavyweight Title: Carlos Colon © vs. "Dangerous" Danny Spivey (June 1988)These two guys have a slugfest immediately and Colon takes it to Spivey before finally getting him down to work over his left leg. Colon is a total buzzsaw here taking the fight to Spivey until Spivey dropped him neck first on the top rope. Spivey then used a football spear on Colon to really take him down before choking him. Spivey locked on a bearhug before both men would clothesline each other hard. Spivey recovered first and went back to working over Colon getting a Boston Crab but Colon would fight out of the hold and then took over beating on Spivey sending the match outside the ring where they started brawling around the stadium with Colon beating Spivey bloody. Colon then started throwing the referee around and the referee gave up and called the match a DDQ as the two men wouldn't quit fighting. This was a helluva battle and I'm going to throw it up as a low-end nomination.
May 31, 20169 yr comment_5755459 Maybe it was the high of the last two matches but this one never stood out until the hot brawl at the end. I am almost tempted to ust include the last few minutes with the brawl but the match was nothing special.
