WWC World Tag Titles: The Renegade Warriors (Mark & Chris Youngblood) © vs. The Ninja Express (Kendo Nagasaki & Mr. Pogo) (7/23/88)

Youngbloods are dominant to start working over the Japanese then we go to a break and come back with Pogo locking on the Cobra Clutch on Mark. The crowd was pumped up now cheering for Mark as the Japanese were doubling up on him as much as they could. Chris then joined the action outside the ring as both teams brawled around the stadium for a bit before coming back to the ring where Pogo dropped Mark with a piledriver for a nearfall. Mark would catch Pogo with a knee to the groin though to get the hot tag to Chris who ran wild and the 4-way brawl was on. They would take out Kendo with a Double Drokpick then Chris got Pogo in an O'Connor Roll for a 2 count thinking they won the match but they didn't then Kendo whacked Chris with the kendo stick and Pogo covered for the win. This started out slow but it picked up late and I dug the finish. I'll throw this up as a low-end nomination.

Solid but unspectacular beginning with the faces doing the 80s arm tag work. They teased doing cool Regal esque digit work but never really explored it. The commercial sort of hurt this as we come back to an FIP. I thought the finish was pretty fun bit a bit awkward with the ref stopping with a 2 count. I could get behind a low level nomination but wouldn't care if we left this off either.
