Universal Heavyweight Title: Carlos Colon © vs. "Nature Boy" Ric Flair (1/31/83)

Yep Flair is going for Colon's title. Colon works over Flair's left arm early with Flair trying to fight back with chops but to no avail. Colon really focused on the arm strong here with Flair getting almost zero offense in for almost 10 minutes. This is Andersonesque armwork going on here before Flair would headbutt Colon in the groin as a desperation measure. Flair then goes on offense but doesn't sell the arm much before Colon just starts throwing punches in bunches sending Flair to the grass. Colon then tries to start working over the leg but Flair squelches that. Flair just can't mount an extended offensive barrage as Colon is pesky here throwing his punches. Flair sends Colon through the ropes to the grass a couple of times which gives Flair the opportunity he needs to go on offense. Flair drops Colon throat first on the top rope a couple of times then hits some suplexes which was the setup for the figure-four. Colon is great at selling the pain here as the crowd goes nuts wanting him to reverse the hold which he does before Flair gets in the ropes. Colon now makes a comeback where he goes to work on Flair's left leg setting up his own figure-four which he gets but Flair would rake him in the eyes to break free. Flair would get nearfalls off a backdrop suplex and a piledriver before posting Colon sending him to the grass. Flair is vicious working over Colon's forehead bringing out the juice but Colon fights back yet again getting a sunset flip after a great struggle by Flair for a nearfall. Colon then catches Flair with a cross body block for another nearfall as Flair gets his foot on the rope before the match goes back to the grass. Colon would post Flair this time which brings out the juice from Flair's head before Flair catches Colon with a reverse kick to the balls to take him down. Flair would get a sleeper hold before yet another Colon comeback where he goes wild until Flair catches him low again then tries to pin him with his feet on the ropes but in sight of the referee. Flair argues with him and gets caught in an O'Connor Roll for a nearfall before falling to a backslide giving Colon the huge win as the crowd is apeshit. Tremendous match and a slam dunk nomination.

Carlos Colon & Los Invaders I y III vs. Abdullah the Butcher, Chicky Starr, & Ron Starr (4/26/86)

The showdown before the match was great as it symbolized this was going to be a war and then everyone started just beating the hell out of each other as soon as the bell rang. The Starr's took some punishment to start from all the babyfaces especially Ron who was bumping and selling like crazy and even getting thrown into his partners. Ron even starts juicing from this punishment and tags in Chicky where the beatdown continued. Invader III would get trapped in the heel corner though and Abdullah tags in for the first time and this is where the match turned as the heels started returning the favors to Invader III. The heels do some good work here before Invader gets the hot tag to Colon who starts teeing off on Abby then Invader I goes to work on the Starr's before Invader III joins in. Colon & Abby would soon be alone in the ring and Colon hit Abby with his neckbreaker drop to win the match in a huge pin. Abby then throws something in Colon's face which he sells like crazy. This was a really fun match and I'm throwing on as a low-end nomination.

Carlos Colon vs. Abdullah the Butcher (6/15/86)

This says it's from 1982 but it's from 1986. The early part of this match is these two men roughhousing each other with Colon stealing Abby's stick and using it on Abby violently. Colon was bloodthirsty here literally as he was biting Abby's head viciously with his spit hanging on the blood and he was punching the hell out of him. Abb is getting totally squashed basically as blood is splattering on the cameras and everything. The referee who was a young Victor Quinnones took the stick away from Colon but that didn't stop him as he just kept on using his fist to get more blood out. Colon then grabbed a chair and just started bashing Abby even hitting the referee. Abby is a fucking mess and Colon just isn't letting up as he is going for his eyes hard. Colon then takes Abby down with a monkey flip and they would eventually bring a doctor into the ring to check on Abby. The doctor lets the match go on as Abby is still getting destroyed by Colon until the doctor checks him a couple of more times as well as the commission stopping the match but Colon doesn't stop as he continues to beat the shit out of Abby. Colon then chases Abby out of the stadium and is carried on the fans shoulders. This isn't a nomination because it was just a big fucking squash match but we must put this on as an extra.

Steel Cage Match: Carlos Colon vs. Chicky Starr (8/3/86)

Carlos grabs Chicky and brings him into the cage and yes Chicky is wearing white tights so the blood is about to flow like wine. They immediately battle at the top of the cage and Colon throws him into the cage hard and heavy. Chicky is bleeding good as they go back to the top of the cage for more brawling and this looked dangerous because if one of them fell off they were hitting some hard ground. Poor Chicky is getting mauled as Colon is pinballing his head off the cage. Colon hits a big piledriver and this destruction continues until Ron Starr runs out throwing a white towel into the cage and the referee stops the match. This like the Abby match needs to be an extra as Colon was a fucking monster.

Universal Heavyweight Title: Carlos Colon © vs. TNT (11/27/86)

El Profe is placed in a cage before the match which was a cool looking red cage. Colon starts off strong but TNT soon would take control and Colon is definitely in trouble as TNT really focuses on his left arm. TNT hits a sweet savate kick on Colon who was running the ropes trying to gather himself before going back to the arm. Colon would get a big desperation GIant Baba style clothesline to kickstart his comeback and the fans were losing their minds as Colon beating TNT down. Colon would lock on the sleeper hold but TNT got to the ropes to break the hold and survive. Colon then locked on another sleeper hold but TNT would break free kicking Carlos right in the fucking face and locked on his Cobra Clutch but Colon would get to the ropes. TNT is frantically trying to put Colon away any way he could but Colon ever the fighter kept coming back even though he is now juicing and TNT is like a vampire with his constant biting. The fans are begging for Colon to fight back and he does as he does his cartwheel then starts teeing off on TNT but again TNT comes back with a huge savate kick then locks on the Cobra Clutch with Colon using the ropes a couple of times trying to break free until finally as an act of desperation he kicks Colon in the balls from behind. Colon now has finally made the full comeback and he beats TNT from pillar to post with TNT doing a big blade job gushing blood. They keep brawling on the floor and the referee has no choice but to count both men out. Another fucking awesome war in Puerto Rico and a definite nomination.

Loser Leaves Town Match for the Universal Heavyweight Title: Carlos Colon © vs. Hercules Ayala (1/6/89)

My god what a scene this is as all the heels are with Ayala and all the babyfaces are with Colon while the fans are going nuts. This is complete war from the beginning and yes Colon is wearing white so the blood will flow like wine but after the early flurry they slow it down a little with Ayala using cheap shots on Colon. Ayala would take the battle to the floor where he bashed Colon's head on the table a couple of times and here comes the juice and boy does it come fast. Colon comes back though throwing Ayala into the ringpost a few times as now Ayala is leaking which gets worse as Colon pounds him with the ring bell. The battle goes back to the ring where Ayala is in control but not for long as he misses a diving kneedrop and Colon immediately goes for the figure-four but Ayala counters with an inside cradle as the fans almost died. Colon hits a big backdrop suplex for a very close nearfall and now the ring is getting stained with the blood of the wrestlers as both men are a crimson mask especially Colon whose tights has turned red. Ayala locks on a bearhug and both men are just fucking spent at this stage with an amazing visual of both men standing there with blood covering their faces completely. Ayala then started working over Colon's left leg where he locked on his own version of the figure-four leglock and Colon is in serious pain. Colon would reverse the hold and Ayala would finally submit as the building started shaking in joy watching their hero avenge one of his major rivals sending him packing. Amazing match and a grand slam nomination.

No DQ Match for the vacant Universal Heavyweight Title: Carlos Colon vs. Steve Strong (11/23/89)

This is the ultimate blowoff match to this long feud with all the stipulations in the world and like Dylan said it's worked totally different then you would expect from these two men as this is worked completely like your standard wrestling match not a wild insane brawl all over the building. It seemed like these two men wanted to prove to each other who the better man was with no gimmicks needed just a straight fight. When Carlos locked on the figure-four leglock the building went nuts and there were fans who were actually shooting firecrackers in the building before Strong reversed the hold and it was here that with both men selling their leg this match started having a big fight feel. Strong would hit Colon with a big DDT that really turned the tide in his favor then he would take Colon to the floor where he beat on some before Colon threw him into the ringpost a couple of times and it looked like Colon was getting ready to finish Strong off as he has bloodied him. Strong though came firing back with a clothesline and back to work he goes on Carlos stuffing him with a piledriver with Colon barely kicking out. Strong at one point has Colon pinned near the ropes and Colon gets his foot on the rope at the last second which stunned Strong. Colon is still in trouble as Strong gets a Canadian Backbreaker but puts Colon down who floats over to get the pin as the fans go absolutely crazy mobbing Colon at the ring as security tries to stop them. This is an insane scene and the icing on the cake for this as a definite nomination.

Next we get Colon vs. Ray Gonzalez from 1998.
