Redneck" Dick Murdoch vs. Italian Stallion & The Lightning Express (Brad Armstrong & Tim Horner) (1/10/88)This is a fun matchup and the LX look good against the MX which was expected. Eaton using the Olympic Slam on Brad in 1988 was a fun spot. This is a pretty fun sprint until Murdoch uses a Brainbuster on Stallion to win. Cornette and his boys then cut a promo with Bob Caudle afterwars talking about taking out the Super Powers.Luger cuts a promo next with Bob Caudle on the Horsemen wearing quite the black leather jacket. We get clips of his past issues with them as well including the shocking return of Ole Anderson at the Omni on New Years Day."The Enforcer" Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard vs. Gene Ligon & Larry Stephens (1/10/88)The champs look really good here and then cut a promo about how great they were with their expensive cars and jewelry. Arn then tees off on Luger again.Sting vs. The Gladiator (1/10/88)Sting wins in seconds with the Scorpion Deathlock then talked to Jim Ross after the match about wanting Ric Flair demanding he come out but he doesn't.Flair & DIllon then cut a promo talking about Windham needing to take their offer. Dillon then tells Flair let Arn & Tully handle Luger while he takes care of Sting.Mike Rotundo vs. Ricky Nelson (1/10/88)Rotundo uses three Butterfly Suplexes in a row to win.Ellering cuts a promo next about the upcoming bench press contest."Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko vs. John Savage (1/10/88)Larry wins with a neckbreaker in seconds.Magnum interviews The Super Powers next about the MX, Murdoch, and others with Dusty saying that are they ready to pay the price when they face the Super Powers. Dusty then shoots on the WWF talking about their angle where DiBiase wanted to buy the WWF Title saying that in the NWA they win or lose it in the ring. Sting would eventually bring Akabr in the ring to rough him up allowing Bart to bring in a steel chair but Sting stops him and uses it on him and Akbar.Next we get a promo from Flair about the Bunkhouse Stampede and this was a local promo from the NY market.Tony then interviews Dillon about the Stampede and he is betting on the Horsemen."Hands of Stone" Ronnie Garvin vs. Bob Riddle (1/10/88)Garvin destroys Riddle with the Garvin Stomp winning in seconds.Magnum interviews Dusty next and he talks about how wants Flair and he has sat on the sidelines too long.Barry Windham vs. George South (1/10/88)Barry hits the Lariat in seconds and wins.Zbyszko & Baby Doll cut a promo next with Tony where Zbyszko talks about how he is going to win the Western States Title easily.Arn, Tully, & Dillon cut a local NYC promo for the Stampede next.Steel Cage Match: The Super Powers (Dusty Rhodes & Nikita Koloff) vs. The Midnight Express ("Beautiful" Bobby Eaton & "Sweet" Stan Lane) (1/10/88)Of course TV time runs out right after this match starts but what we see is a lot of fun.
