NWA Pro Wrestling 4/16/88

This starts with video of JJ Dillon meeting with Jim Crockett about the video he has proving that Dusty Rhodes is the Midnight Rider. Crockett said that there is no proof that the Rider is Dusty Rhodes and that Dillon must unmask the Rider to prove it. Crockett said that Dillon will face the Midnight Rider in a Texas Bullrope Match which lets him prove his point. This is great and a definite extra.

"Dr. Death" Steve Williams vs. Curtis Thompson (4/5/88)

Doc just nukes Curtis with a German Suplex then Thompson tried to put his foot on the bottom rope which was hilarious.

Next we get a promo from Flair about his upcoming match with Nikita Koloff on 4/23 at Night 2 of the Crockett Cup. Flair said that no one has missed him since he left and that he won't be back for long.

The Varsity Club (Rick Steiner & Mike Rotundo) vs. Bob Riddle & Larry Stephens (4/5/88)

Another impressive showing for the VC and Steiner is a maniac.

Next we get clips of Fants/MX from the Clash.

"Russian Nightmare" Nikita Koloff vs. Tony Suber (4/5/88)

Nikita is back and he looks good against Suber. Nikita then cuts a promo after the match about getting a match with Flair at the Crockett Cup.

Then we get a promo from Paul Jones about the 5/13 show in Houston.

Sting vs. George South (4/5/88)

Sting takes care of South easily and he cuts a promo afterwards about having Ronnie Garvin as his partner in the Crockett Cup thinking that they will win it.

"The Enforcer" Arn Anderson vs. Max McGyver (4/5/88)

Arn systematically picks apart McGyver before finishing him off with the Gourdbuster.

Next we get clips of Luger/Windham vs. Arn/Tully from the Clash.

Then we get promos from shirtless Luger & Sting wearing sunglasses talking about the US Heavyweight Title tournament in Houston on 5/13.

"Latin Heartthrob" Al Perez vs. Tommy Angel (4/5/88)

Perez looks strong in victory.

Handicap Match: Road Warrior Hawk vs. Bob Emory & Trent Knight (4/5/88)

Hawk kills both men in seconds.

Caudle interviews Luger & Windham next about being the new champs where they talk about being champs for a long time. Windham also talks about his friend the Midnight Rider and the heels better watch out.

Sting toys with Thompson before finishing him with the Scorpion Deathlock and then cuts a promo afterwards about the Crockett Cup.

The Horsemen are pissed and they take it out on these guys and after the match Dillon talks about his match with the Rider and the Horsemen wanting their belts back. Arn doesn't want drunks and fat women heckling them. Tully said that as long as they still drive their Mercedes' they are fine.
