These guys just don't have bad matches with one another. This was well worked, but only 9 of a 16 minute match was shown Ric Flair vs Dusty Rhodes This is a handheld. This was worked well. Both guys played off Baby Doll well here. The early shine sequence is carried by Dusty's charisma. Flair does a leg sweep and locks on the Figure 4. Dusty's best matches a lot of the time deals with him having some sort of injury. Dusty sell the damage to the limb well. Dusty gains control and he's beating on Flair and goes after the leg for revenge. The momentum shifts back and forth. We see Flair get busted open and it leads to a Rhodes DQ. We get a clip here and there but the match flowed real well. NWA HH 85-86 Disc1 MX vs Rock n Roll Express Jimbo is in a cage.Just not enough. Nikita vs Magnum Again, just not enough Tully/Arn vs Dusty/Wahoo This is a solid nomination. Just a total blast. The heels were great at making the faces look great here. Both teams beat each other with their particular weapons. A hot crowd. 3/30/86 NWA HH 85-86 Disc 1 Ric Flair vs Ron Garvin High End Nomination This is a cage match and a handheld. The physicality gets lost with a handheld, but man their is a lot of great stuff going on.1st off Flair does a bit of storytelling before he enters the cage. We start off with both men brutalizing each other. Eventually Garvin takes control and beats on Flair, back rakes, and head butts. Flair gets the heat and he works over Garvin with the cage . Man Garvin is a bloody mess. So Flair mixes up with the cage and just some brutal punches. Flair locks on the Figure 4 and just tears up the leg. Garvin does a great job selling it. Even when Garvin has Flair locked it a sleeper he keeps lifting his leg to relieve the pressure. Garvin is all over Flair towards the finish. Garvin picks Flair up for a slam but his leg gives up and Flair picks up the win with his legs on the rope. The work on the leg paid off at the finish which I'm a mark of NWA HH 85-86 Disc 1. Tully Blanchard vs Wahoo McDaniel These guys have a long history . This match wasn't one of their better ones.
