The show starts with David Crockett talking about how Paul Boesch has gotten Dusty Rhodes reinstated which killed the Midnight Rider gimmick dead which was very fast. The Rider gimmick was really over at TV tapings but not so much on house shows. Extra material.

The Midnight Express ("Beautiful" Bobby Eaton & "Sweet" Stan Lane) vs. Jerry Price & Dark Starr (5/4/88)

MX were on fire here with Lane just chunking Price to the floor with a hip toss. Cornette and his boys then cut a promo afterwards about the Fantastics saying they are still the US Tag Champs and they will have their party later on in the show.

Sting vs. Bob Emory (5/4/88)

Easy win for the Stinger who cuts a promo about Windham saying that he still can't believe it.

Next we get the Cornette & MX party which is 1984 Mid-South all over again even with Jim Ross doing it. We have cake and decorations among other things. David Crockett comes out and tells Cornette that the Fantastics are still the US Tag Champs and then they show up to put him head first into the cake naturally. Definite extra.

"Latin Heartthrob" Al Perez vs. Gary Royal (5/4/88)

Perez takes his time putting Royal away and after the match Gary Hart talks about the US Title Tournament coming up in Houston on 5/13 and Nikita Koloff. Perez then talks about how he is glad Dusty has the mask off because he is going to beat him in Houston.

The Powers of Pain (The Barbarian & The Warlord) vs. Rick Paradise & Curtis Thompson (5/4/88)

Another dominant showing for the POP with Ivan getting in on the fun as well. Paul Jones and his boys cut a promo afterwards calling out the Road Warriors saying they are scared of them. Ivan then talks about how everyone is scared including Dusty Rhodes.

"Dr. Death" Steve Williams vs. Keith Steinborn (5/4/88)

The Doctor makes a house call on poor Steinborn then talks to David Crockett afterwards about wanting Flair.

"Gamesmaster" Kevin Sullivan vs. Robbie Aumen (5/4/88)

Sullivan just destroys this poor guy.

Dillon comes out next and shows disgust at how Dusty Rhodes got reinstated and blames Paul Boesch in general because he got mad that Windham joined the Horsemen.

Barry Windham vs. Larry Davis (5/4/88)

Windham's first TBS match as a member of the Horsemen and he puts the black glove on his right hand before destroying this guy. Windham then puts the claw on him afterwards for good measure. Windham & Dillon then talk to David Crockett afterwards saying that he does want he wants to do and he answers to no one.

The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) vs. Tony Bowen & Joe Strickland (5/4/88)

Fants say that justice prevailed before the match and Rogers said that Cornette couldn't have his cake and eat it too. Fants win easily with the Rocket Launcher.

Sullivan comes out next and cuts quite the promo on Jimmy Garvin. This was classic sadistic Sullivan and extra material.

"Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff vs. David Isley (5/4/88)

Isley gives Ivan a fight surprisingly but eats a Russian Sickle off the middle rope.
